Best thing GB can do is develop a smart kid (2nd or 3rd round draft pick) from some lesser known school. Someone with intelligence and character. Let him sit for 2-3 years while Favre plays his final years. When Favre retires...you'll have a QB who can step in and your team shouldn't skip a beat.

Does anyone like me like ATL rookie Matt Schaub from VIR?
Yes...and he's in the ideal situation. All pressure on the team he plays for is on the teams starting QB. He has no pressure and can learn a great system for 2-3 years. He'll be a pretty good QB I reckon.

You're going to replace Favre with MATT JONES?! heh... I think Green Bay can find someone more suited. Unless of course you're going to give him a few years to adjust...that'd be the ideal situation. Then Jones would probably work out. But I wouldn't think that just throwing him in would be a good idea.

I think Drew Bledsoe would thrive in Greenbay. That buffalo offensive line really sucks.

I would like to see baseball guy be the next QB of the Packers so he can get severly injured thus making it imposible for him to post at The RX....

There's talk that the Packers are strongly interested in Drew Brees, who is a free agent after this season. The rumors are that they could trade for him during this season if Rivers becomes the starter there.

hopefully somebody really shitty so I dont have to watch that horrible Lambeau Leap. the Pack sucks and so do their loser fans. PS GREEN BAY FANS get a life. They remind me of Trekkies or whatever they call those 40 + yr old losers who dress up and go to Star trek conventions. PS Captain Kirk is now doing commercials for Priceline.

He still is a helluva QB, the problem is Green Bays coaching is horrible and he's stucj with Sherman making bad decisions. Guys like Brady and Manning would have problems there

I agree Red but when he play at Lambeau. When he play on the road is not such a superstar. No? Three years ago in STL in the NFC semi-final he throws 6 int.
Some years ago a decisive int in DAL in the 4th q ( when we started it ahead ).
On the superbowl vs DEN he throws a key int in the 4th. Various bad performance in MIN and TB. At Lambeau it is one of the top 3 QB overall of all time but on the road no. He always played well only in SF. That is the only bad point that i only had with him but a point that may have cost us 1 superbowl.
I want a QB that play good even on the road. I agree about Sherman. Unfortunatelly there are not too many Belichick around.

That guy has to know their system inside and out by now. Might not be a bad choice. He's probably one of those QBs who rarely make mistakes.
