Regardless if they win the world series, Boston fans will still be very pleased with their performance thus far.

Yankee fans love to say that the curse still exists until Boston wins the World Series. However, Boston won the American League Championship in the house that Ruth built by coming back from a 3 game deficit. As far as I am concerned they can shove the curse up their a$$.

The curse is over, and now we are just left with bitter Yankee fans.

Go RedSox!

Well Fish I do not agree.

I think that the Red Sox played the most important game in franchise history last night. Many teams have won world series rings, but none have come back from a 3 game deficit to win.

Of course I would love to see them win the world series and I think they will. However, I won't discount their previous accomplishments just because of what may happen in the world series.

the ultimate goal of every team is to win the world series.

if they dont win the curse still lives.

they have made it to the series since 1918....just never have won.

Well obviously you are a yankee fan. The only people who say the curse still lives on are scumbag Yankee fans.

Are you going to discount Boston's effort in this past series?? They totally beat the $hit out of your team.

Many other Red Sox teams have done great accomplishments too......

Division Championsips and playoff appearances

Sweeping the 3-time defending Champion Athletics in 75

Fisk and Carbo homers in 75

Impossible Dream season of 67

Coming back from the dead in the last week of 78 season

Dave Henderson dramatic homer off of Donnie Moore in 86

Numerous season MVP awards, HR titles, Cy Youngs, .400 hitters, batting champions, no-hitters, etc, etc.

WORLD TITLE OR BUST!

NOTHING LESS WILL DO!!

I have been living in the South Boston area all my life and no one knows the City of Boston more than myself. I have been a priest with St Monica's Church here in South Boston now for over 22 years, so I do know Boston very well.

All I know is as much as I hate to admit it, the Madcapper guy is 100% right here. We've won nothing yet and no curse is yet over till we win the World Series according to most Boston fans I have spoken with. All they did was beat another player who just cannot win if his life depended on it. And that is AROD. No matter where he goes, he just CANNOT win. Seattle won 116 games the year he left, and Texas became great the year they got rid of him. He is a poison, just like Barry Bonds. These 2 will NEVER win a ring in their careers, even though they are the 2 best players in baseball. Their presence in the clubhouse is no good. As long as they will be there with the other teammates, they will never win. So Boston should not say the curse is over yet, because it is NOT..

The Bambino Curse will live forever. He was not kidding when he said the Red Sox would never win a world series again.. This man was dead serious, he was very evil. The Babe was a vicious person and the curse does exist and will live for a very long time.
The RED SOX will NEVER win a world series in this century. The Bambino Curse is stronger than you think it is.. It's not finished and wont be for awhile.

Thank you all, and GOD BLESS YOU.

GOD IS GREAT..

Thank you young man, it's good to be here. I have been here lurking for quite some time. We do have a computer here at the church, and i have always liked your site young man. I don't gamble mind you, because it's a sin and GOD would not be in agreement with this, but I do like sports. I have always loved the Bruins, Celtics, Pats and especially the Bosox.

I hope you go to church every sunday young man, and if you don't, it's never too late to go. It's only 40 min a week. I'm sure GOD would appreciate you making the effort. If not, i hope you say a little prayer every night before you sleep and give him thanks for all you have. One OUR FATHER, or HAIL MARY would be fine.

Thanks again young man for the welcome and GOD BLESS YOU.

May the LORD always be with you..

Father Ryan one of your flock known to many as Beantown Jim has been seen here a bit lately please don't take his example though and use profanity or racist remarks. Please say hi to his wife Cheryl if you see her.

James is a very good boy. The only thing is he has a severe gambling problem. 9 months ago, he came up to me and asked the church for a loan to support his gambling and pay off some debts. I told him I couldn't, and that he should stop gambling. He used to frequent the church every Sunday. I have not seen him come to mass in 9 months. I do see Cheryl every Sunday.. She comes alone. I wish James would start coming to church again on a regular basis. He really is a good guy, but the gambling is taking over his life.

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU..

AMEN

Just what this forum needs. A man of the cloth. There's a lot of sinners in here so the Father will have his work cut out for him.

I have to agree with Madcapper on this one. I love the Red Sox and have since I was a kid growing up in western Massachusetts but the curse won't be lifted until the Red Sox lift the World Series trophy. Yes, beating the Yankees by coming back from 3-0 down was a tremendous accomplishment but the journey is not complete.

It resumes Saturday night.
