Houston +102

Suppan is more than capable of holding his own in this game, probably more than most are giving him credit for, BUT...

Houston has convinced me they are destined for the series. It just doesn't seem logical with the emergence of pitchers Backe & Lidge and the incredible performance by Beltran to end here. The drama of Clemens standing in the way of the Red Sox Series hopes is just too perfect of a scenario for it not to happen, right? Well, the Stros must win this game first: Clemens has dominated the Cardinals this season and I see no reason for that to change tonight. I am unsure of Tony Womack's status tonight but an injured Womack and a now struggling Larry Walker will likely fail to get on base for Pujols & Rolen. Edmonds is 8-39 career versus Clemens, Renteria is 1-11, & Reggie Sanders will get eaten alive by Clemens high heat. Suppan was just 6-8 @ home this season with a 4.75 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and .299 BAA. Career vs. Suppan - Bagwell-.407, Berkman-.364, Kent-.393, Ensberg-.300, Vizcaino-.619(13-21!!). HOU bullpen is strong now, Oswalt is available tonight & Lidge can pitch an inning tonight as well.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
