Hi Ted. Read your piece and your record keeping on money management outstanding. I have a ? what determines what game is 1 unit 2 units etc. I look at say 2 pro games both have home favorites as say 3 points. They may both be 1 unit games but what might make them 2 or 3 unit wagers? And that is really the key isnt it? It is your ability to decern what bet is worth more than the other? I am sure nobody can replicate your thought processes but would be interested in yours or anyone elses ideas on that issue. I hope you dont percieve that I am asking you to give away thefarm but I have trouble making that bet sizing decision. I may bet baseball and totals or football and totals and my bet size is determined mainly by my perception of what ought to be the better bet as opposed to some solid methadalogy. ANy insites would be appreciated. heart222

There are many variables that go into rating my strength of plays, but perhaps the most significant is the difference between the line I develop for a game and the current posted line. The greater the difference the more the rating of a play rises from 1% to 2% and so on. It would be a lengthy task to explain all the fundamental, situational, and technical elements I review before first, determining if a game is worthy of a play and second, what the rating or unit value of the play will be. Hopefully, this bit of information will be helpful to you. Best of luck today and in the future.

Hey Heart I would really recommend you think hard about what you write as a Title because I am sure you really scared a lot of people here with a title asking about the size of Ted's Unit!!!

Sorry Didnt mean the size of his unit. I meant what determines going from a 1 star norm to a 3 or 4 or 5 star bet. Hope I didnt confuse anyone. I think he understood and now if I could figure out how to arrive at a point spread vs the going line i might think about capping. Like arnold or ssi i think i do better hanging round the same unit size possibly thats the differance between sharpies and us heart the fan type guys. Again sorry if my ? was not clear. heart222

Ted Thank you for your response. I did not expect you to give up the store and you did not:;)). Best of luck as usual. I also do a lot of emailing with SSI as we have a common interest in futures along with capping.
