The Red Sox are showing why they will not win this series even after getting rid of Nomar they still can't catch the ball.

With the power on both teams in this series no one should be talking smack before the game is over.

Smitty I hope you are right but 11 runs can cover up a lot of sins. They have to play better ball to win any low scoring games that figure to show up in this series. Just calling a spade a spade - they were brutal in the field all night.

FWIW - no one will be more thrilled than me if the Sox win this series been a Sox fan since the 50's.

wilheim,

A HUGE win is a HUGE win. Its 18 million times better than a tough loss in this spot.

In case anyone has any further question, Matt Morris and his 4.72 ERA vs. Curt Schilling tomorrow at Fenway, where the Red Sox have a major home field advantage.

2-0. :aktion033 :drink:

There are actual people who took St. Louis to win the world series, what were they thinking?

Red Sox then need 1 out of 3 in St. Louis ( OK 2 out of 3 will be acceptable) to come home with a 3-2 lead and Schilling pitching game 6 in Fenway and Pedro if neccesary ( Not) in game 7 in Fenway.

Getting a win in game 1 behind a sub par Wakefield was HUGE

One thing you have to learn about Boston, is that they only score runs when they need to.

They could care less if they win by 1 or 10. That is generally why you see them hit better when the game is close.

Hey a win is a win.

Go Boston

Highest scoring game one in World Series history fittingly goes to the hard hitting Boston Red sox. Hopefully Schilling will be his usual effective self tomorrow night. The Sox should get to a very getable Matt Morris (and Company) for 5 or 6 runs.

I don't understand how anyone thinks that the National League is stronger then the American League.

Boston has about 20 times more power than St. Louis
