Curt Gowdy on the call.... Rick Wise vs Gary Nolan

I'll keep everyone posted ... I wonder what the line was on this game?

Any guesses?

Reds lineup spectacular...Bosox not shabby either...Cecil Cooper leading off for Boston strikes me as odd...

My line Cinn -175:think: any takers?

Bosox go down in order , 3 grounders to the left side...looks like they're showing this game in its entirety...

I honestly cannot remember who won game 3 here..

Some people build model airplaines, I enjoy old vintage ball games:biglaugh:

Gary Nolan, not sure if he still is, was a casino host at THE MIRAGE in Vegas.

Before that, he was a host at the Alladdin when I worked there and we talked baseball almost on a daily basis.

Super nice guy.

Fisk just lost one...deep to left 1-0 Boston...Red Sox with no names on their backs...

Zimmer 3rd base coach...Wow Zimmer looks all of 65, he was just a kid ...

I cannot believe this game was 30 years ago...

You aint kidding , Gowdy was my alltime favorite... Kubek very good....When Curt gowdy was on the call you knew it was important!

now flash forward to tonight, lol.. Joe Buck, something about Buck I do not like...very knowledgeable he just comes off as full of himself ...and McCarver, forgetaboutit!

Johnny Bench just launched a two out bomb, two run shot....

Concepcion homer 3-1..

I was just looking at him thinking, how could this frail man hit a ball out, and the next pitch , gone!

Another observation, umps using the old chest protecter...The ump is calling the high strike, not squatting nearly as low as we see now days.

Pete Rose stand up triple!

I wonder if Pete was on this game...

Pretty sure, as I have only watched this game or listened to it on my 1975 highlight 8-track tape 1000 times.

Could be wrong though, as havent listened or seen highlights of the game for 10+ years.

Dwight Evans just tied it...2 run shot 5-5...

Funny thing is NBC is using Marty Brenneman (REDS HOME ANNOUNCER), who gave a less then stellar call on a 9th inning game tying two run shot...

Curt Gowdy chiming in enthusiasticaly...
