Not sure why this line is skyrocketing, I guess its money that thinks the Cards cannot be swept? Marquis ERA is better than Lowe's this season, but Red Sox hit Marquis very well, Cards hit Lowe very poorly.

More important- The Cards are beat. LaRussa's interview after the game last night sounded like a funeral or the last words of a guy heading to the gas chamber.

Even more important- Their are no pitchers on the Cards roster that scare anyone at all. No nasty fireballers, no studs.

Most important- Their lineup is great, but those guys are ice cold. They can't buy a clutch hit right now. Pujols Edmonds & Rolen are invisible.

Nothing is a lock, and St. Louis may start to turn things around tonight, but I say stick with the Red Sox. They are smokin hot. Ride them for one more game tonight and if they lose, then its time to re-evalute things.

Go with the hot team. Also Derek Lowe has big time playoff game experience. He pitched masterfully on 3 days rest game 7 in NY. He closed out the A's in the 10th inning last year in a HUGE pressure situation when brought in with the tying and winning runs on base.

This year Lowe has a 2.92 ERA in the postseason 12 1/3 IP.

Marquis is 6.48 ERA in 8 1/3 innings

 +130 on the Red Sox anyone?

Been a LOWE supporter since LITERALLY day one in a Red Sox uniform.

It would be extra special to me if he could get the win tonight.

Fishy: Extra special, extra special you say if D. Lowe wraps it up.............................what'd are ya' nine.

Gimme' a break Fishead, like what happens out on the field of a baseball game really matters. If it wasn't for a chance to grab opportunities like getting Pedro last night plus 30 cents, who could give a sh*t. Get in the game. Yeah-Yeah, your a fan. Do you know what the word fan is short for ?

Grab your kid, or someone else's and take it somewhere worthwhile and spend some time with it. Go on down to the Unity Kitchen and help out, or volunteer at the citizen center and do something that means something.

BTW...............What would you do if the BoSox team plane went down on the way home. Think about it.

It seems like the Cards were trying to hide Marquis. He was supposed to pitch game 2 in Fenway, but the Cards pulled him back and started Morris on 3 days rest instead.

They start him tonight in front of the home fans and even if this thing goes 7 games, he's not going to make another start. It seems that LaRussa has no confidence in this guy right now and didnt want him to make more than 1 start in the series.

Not sure why line is skyrocketing. I think I had no idea what I was doing last night buying Red Sox +1.11 for the max would be more accurate. This line movement is normal. Especially anti sweep. You love the Red sox, you had them, and you will win and have won a lot of money. I am happy for you. Cherish this time, because it appears it is the first time you have ever hit anything. Getting the worst number possible is a loss in itself. Relax and think before you bet, it will all workout better if you latch onto winners like the Red Sox. I think you are right. Cards appeared to have died last night. Enjoy the game.:heh:

I would like to see it too. But the sox get beat today. They just took 4 straight from the Yanks, and now 3 straight from the Cards. Grant it, the Sox are a good team, but there were a lot of errors made.

I think it goes to 5 games at least.

Go Sox! eventhough, financially i am rooting for the Cards.

LM,

I appreciate your posts here as you contribute good information. If you want to roast me, I'm not going to take it personal, so not hard feelings ( really) but you can work on being less of an arrogant prick.

Boston will end their World Series drought, but maybe not tonight. Yesterday was a gift game from St Louis and I look for the offense to get hot tonight. Besides the clinching game with the Yankees, Lowe has been horrible on the road all year. They were thinking about leaving him off the roster as well. I think he had a fluke game last time out and I don't see him pitching a shutout with the Cards lineup. I'm taking St Louis -2.5 +220

Sorry Mr. Smith, just think you pulled the trigger early with irrational exuberance last night. Let's see Red Sox +1.11 last night. +1.36 earlier at Pinnacle. So if you win you sacrificed .25 cents by having an itchy trigger finger. That is tough, and no one who does this professionally could survive buying such a bad number. I am simply stating with patience you could make a lot more profits. I hoped that you would. For you Mr. Smith, Go Red Sox:howdy:

I guess I'm ignorant but how could you be sure the line was going to move in that direction (and so much), especially the way the 2 teams were playing? I was an idiot to take the Sox at +111 but when I saw how much the line went up I got a bit upset and bet the Red Sox again at -1 1/2 runs to make up for it. Fortunately the Sox came through and I won more than I would have with a better line on the moneyline wager. I don't do this for a living, just for entertainment (in case you hadn't guessed).
