Do you think they feel the same relief Boston fans will, if the Sox finally win one

for Red Sox nation?

Any local reporting on this?

Hey Jman,

Thanks for the blast from the past, but I really don't think so for different reasons.

Fisk moved on and established a great career in Chicago - actually played more games with Chicago than Sox. Same with Lynn in Anaheim. Only Rice and Yaz eneded their careers there for the most part.

Also guys like Yaz, Evans, Lynn and Fisk were never really the goats.

Exception to the rule is Johnny Pesky who became the voice of the Red Sox and has such long-standing ties to the team and was the goat in the 46 series? (before my time).

Just IMO.

And I left out, even a win in this Series where they are too old to play probably will not oversahdow the heartbreak of the Series that they participated in.

I remember as a kid watching the 1975 World Series when Fisk hit the Homerun I have been waiting for a Boston team to be as good as that team I think this years team is equal to the 75 team . I am from California but I have been partial to the Red Sox since watching that series. It brings back the good ole days Yaz, Rice, Rick Burleson , Lynn , El Tiante, bernie Carbo , Doyle,Remy , Rice, Jim Willoughby . Thank God they finally Won. Ooops I am forgot 1 other key to that machine Butch Hobson nobody went after foul balls into the stands like Hobson.
