let me set the scene. i go to my local wateringhole about 2 times a week for some games. a few months back i meet this guy, he is watching tennis, while i was watching a baseball game. we strike up chit chat, and he seems pretty cool. he is phillipine and so is my wife.
so we agree to go karoke one night, we go, he gets all pissed up and talks some strange ****. i blow it off, and think, ahh....he was just a little tanked, but let it pass. next time we meet, he tells me is a nurse, but drinks on the job. he was in three wars, gulf, seria abo(sp) and the first iraq war. he has a few scars on his arm, he says their combat scars, although i think they could be self inflicted. he then tells me he was undercover in the military, and shows 2 ID's with 2 separate SS#'s:EEK: he is always really, really pissed up. at this point, i am wanting to steer clear.
anyways, last night i go and play in a poker tourney. get done, and head to my local watering hole to catch the end of the VT/GT game. he is there, and drinking heavily, always wanting me to drink, and drink more.
after we sit and chat a little with a couple from MN, they decide to leave, and leave me with this guy. he continues to drink, and starts telling me he thinks he is crazy.......ya think?!?! he then puts a white pill on the table, and quickly scoops it and chugs his beer with it. he tells me it is how he deals with all his problems drinking and extasy.
then out of the blue he tells me i am going home with him, he has a suprise.....i was like :WTF: :WTF: so i act as if i have a phone call, and hit the door. i get in the closest cab and head for home. i then get some text messages saying why did i leave him their. he thought i trusted him, he was highly pissed. ****, it was like we were dating or something.
all along, he works sun-wed and on thursday he begins text msg'ing me non-stop, until i return his calls. he is FVCKING WEIRD.
i know i should have seen the signs, but i thought, he seemed pretty cool at first. yeah, he has some problems, but dont we all.......so i thought. this dude freaks me out. he was talking of killing himself and killing other, a real head job.
so far, he has not sent me a msg yet, and hope he doesnt.
you ask, why am i sharing this, just to let you know the type of people that hang out in bars. they may look normal on the outside, but god damn, they can sure be weird. i have 15 days left here, hopefully he does not call or try and sniper me or my wife.
what i learned is, go in, watch a game, and chat a little, try to avoid making friends in bars, the people in bars are there for reason, usually running from problems in real life, by drowning their sorrows in beer and what not.
anyways, i feel better now. if i stop posting for any period of time, you know what happen!!:guillotin :EEK:
