Prop bet question

abc islands is the worst sportsbook with any type of customer service. Well i made a wager on this prop.

it said NYJ to get first down -130

i played the wager to win 500.

i was thinking that it mean Jets to get a 1st down on their OPENING drive. well, the wager was graded a lost, because they said it was team to get the 1st first down. well NO WHERE in the wager did it have that written- the words 1st first down. all it said was get first down

all it said was NJJ to get 1st down

i called in right away, and they thought i was stupid. i asked to speak to wagering mananger, and this guy named chris came on the phone. i explained what i thought the wager meant, and he was speaking to the ONWER- so he said, and they said the wager stands. well then i asked to speak to the owner, and then he tells me the owner is not available when he just spoke to the guy 2 min ago

i mean i misunderstood the prop. NO WHERE IN THE WAGER did it say get 1st first down. i was thinking the jets had to get a 1st down the first time they got the ball.

please help me guys with this

i feel like i just threw away $650, and it was stolen. these guys treated me like ****, when THEY didnt even have the prop written down. they said they give that prop for years, well this is my 1st week betting with them

can any1 help?

u shdnt bet on a prop if the wording is bad.... (without clarification in writing that is...)

you have a level of responsibility here, especially if the prop was worded exactly as you described above....

i mean no WHERE on the wager did it say get 1st first down. this is bullshit, and i know i should of stayed playing with pinnacle and wsex. i signed up because of therx.com and i feel like no1 wants to help me here

where does it say get 1st first down on that wager. i will never play with this book again because of how they treated me, and the purpose is to let everyone know how they did. im withdrawing all the money i have in there

Hot,I assume it also didn't say

anything about the first drive. Never bet anything unless you are sure what it is you are betting. better to get a clarification before you bet. BTW were the Dolphins listed +110 after the Jets -130 or whatever the line was?

Looks like a "play on words" it could go either way. However the fact remains, if you were willing to lay $500 on the prop, you should have been willing to take 5 minutes and call the book for an explaination of how the grading worked. You cannot argue with the fact that the wager "could" mean "team to score first 1st down". Sorry but that's the way it is........

Reading your bet,team to get first down I would read that as team to get first first down. Otherwise it would have read something like Jets to get first down.

This Wager Did Not Say Anything About Anything. I Assumed It Was 1st Time They Touched The Ball To Get First Down. They Should Of At Least Been Polite To Me On The Phone Instead Of Trying To Accuse Me Of Being Stupid. No Where Does It Say Get 1st First Down. I Know If This Was Pinnacle Or Wsex, They Would Of Noticed It Was Their Fault, And Corrected It And Gave Me My Money

But I Guess When You Play With A Book Like Abc, You Cant Expect Customer Service Like That

The Shrink will chime in and let you know where you stand, I'm sure. Until then count it as a loss, if by some act of god your bet gets adjusted, then consider playing megabucks this week.

BTW, why the caps on every word? Isn't that making typing a pain in the balls?

I think if that is how it was spelled out I would have asked if i wanted to play it...It does appear a word is missing....it should say FIRST TEAM

I play a lot of props and do play with ABC as well.

1) Sometimes props are poorly worded, ALWAYS call when they are. I have called ABC and CS will contact the linesmanager and get a clarification, on tape, and email it too you upon request.

On this prop:

This is a very standard prop. I counted 6 books with this prop tonight.
All had Miami even Jets -30.
ABC had Miami +5 Jets -25

I do not have ABC still up or I would copy it, but I am 99% cetain it is worded something like

Team to get First 1st Down
Miami +105
New York -125

I feel bad for you, I have misread props (baskets and foots). It sucks, but I am 99% certain on this case. Sorry.
