Is everyone even that convinced Rudy will run? He is making millions with his consulting gigs and has the adoration of the world right now. Being President can only hurt both.

How come no field bets on either side? If I had to guess I think it will be Jeb Bush vs. Bill Richardson, with the vote being as close as it has been last couple times. The lesson was relearned this time around, governors are far superior candidates since being in Congress can only bring grief with the myriad of votes you make and the relative lack of "success" you run into when you are just one of 100 people that make the call.

Good point by Wild Bill. Betting the field makes a lot of sense, anything can happen between now and 2008. The other thing about all this is tying up money for that long.

Agree on that Wil. Only way you can play elections early is a marketplace where you can buy and sell before 2008 and even then is probably lacking liquidity for the next few years.

Actually this ploy, by WWTS is perfectly timed with peak interest still there. And it is not the first to have a long hold. What about hosting the 2008 Olympics? 2012? These are merely recreational bets, for recreational bettors. Buy a six pack or bet your favorite candidate. Gentlemen of this esteemed forum, there are individuals out there that bet for fun. Let them have it. Just like big 6 and 8 on the craps table, nobody with any sense would bet it, but it still gets bet, along with big red, 7, at 4-1. Betting is full of traps, land mines and outright jokes. And to think I grumble about a 4 month hold. Anything that draws interest and gets the people to sign up and bet.
