Three solid books pay five figures each

Back on Sunday, October 17th, I stumbled onto some threads about no-pays from several sports books. I panicked, beause I had nearly six figures spread out pretty evenly between three Costa Rican sportsbooks.

Monday Morning, October 18th, I called all three sports books and asked for a 100% payout.

Here is how the sportsbooks ranked for fast payment:

1.) BoDog accepted my payout request for just under $20K on Monday and I had a check in my hands by 10:00am Wednesday. They did not charge me for the payout, even though I had fallen just a few plays short of reaching the agreed upon rollover of 3X.
Total cost to get my money back: $0
Total days to get paid: 2
GRADE: A+

2.) Wagermall refused to accept my payout request on Monday, inisting that they only accept payout requests on Tuesdays through Thursdays. I called back Tuesday morning and Wagermall accepted my payout request for the entire account. The balance due was just under $35K. Wagermall said they could not issue a single check for that amount. Weird...they had no problem accepting my post up check for $30K??? Anyway, they wired $24.5K and sent two checks for the remainder, each under $5K. It took two days for the first check to arrive and three days for the bank wire. The second check arrived two days later. They reversed the fees for FedEx from my original post-up because I had not played the through the deposit three times (made it 2.5X, though), and charged me for the bank wire and for one of the checks.
Total cost to get my money back: $138.00.
Total days to get paid: 9
GRADE: C+

3.) Guardian Guaranty accepted my payout request on Monday for the full amount of just over $25K. I called late Wednesday to see if they had a FedEx number for me and they didn't. I was really freaked out. Panicking. They said they had to verify that my post up check had cleared. What??? I sent my post up monies by cashiers check to all three of these sportsbooks at the same time. They had received my cashiers check over 6 weeks earlier. I was very worried that I was gonna get stiffed. The following Monday, seven days later, everything was good. They had finally verified that my cashiers check had cleared. Now it's just a matter of them getting the payment processed. I call back on Wednesday, nine days after my initial payout request and still no FedEx tracking number. Now I'm nervous again. A few hours later, a girl from the accounting department calls me on my cell to explain that they can pay me, but they have to break it up into several smaller payments. We agree that they will wire $8K to my checking account before the weekend, send me a check via FedEx for $4,900 this week, and then they would do the same thing again next week. Finally, another six days, and I have all my money. They charged me $35 for the payout.
Total cost to get my money back: $35.00
Total days to get paid: 18
Grade C-

I can't rate any of the books lower than C- because they all paid. It took some time, some sweating and more phone calls than it should have with Guardian, but they paid me and all is good.

If anyone is looking to send large dollars to Costa Rica, these three books will pay. Guardian might make you sweat, but they'll pay. I left $6K with Guardian for nickle juice. I'm very confident in their abilities to pay, though it may take them a while.

I certainly wouldn't say he got his funds with *no problems*

18 days is too long IMO. Thanks for sharing osu.

First, let me say that I'm glad to hear you that you received your funds. That being said, would recommend that if you are going to hold five figure balances in any offshore books, consider limiting your outs to the very top tier books only, as you will sleep better at night. Those books have been mentioned many times on these pages so I won't repeat them here. As one who has been burnt in the past by what was considered a large book overnight closure I'll share with you two words: Be careful!

I like to play two dimes per game. I guess next time I post up with some sports books, I'll have to post with about 10 books or so. Maybe $5K per book. Once the balance exceeds $10K, I'll have to request a payout for $5K. And once the balance hits zero, I'll have to re-up with another $5K.

I need to have at least $40K available each Saturday morning. Typically, I risk anywhere from $18K to $34K per Saturday at two dimes per play.

Here's the list I've been working on:
BoDog
BetOnSports
WagerMall
Millennium
WWTS
Guardian
Olympic
SBG Global
WSEX
VIP Sports

Your thoughts on these books?

I know there are a lot of folks ranting about Pinnacle. But I'm reluctant to go with a book that isn't OSGA endorsed.

OSGA is a crooked operation, and I wouldn't pay attention to anything they have to say. Of your list, throw out Betonsports, Wagermall, Millenium, Guardian, and SBG Global. WWTS, Bodog, Olympic, and WSEX are all solid. I don't have any experience with VIP, but I've heard they are solid. My personal favorite book is Skybook. Pinnacle is as solid as they come.

According to the OSGA, they've never had an endorsed sportsbook go under or stiff anyone. They have had disputes arise, but no one has ever been stiffed.

The OSGA answers the telephone if you call them. To me, that's a big deal. None of the other watchdogs do that, do they?

++++throw out Betonsports, Wagermall, Millenium, Guardian, and SBG Global.++++

As for WagerMall & Guardian, I'll trust them with sub-five figure amounts all day. Heck, those two just sent me over sixty grand. Why wouldn't I trust them with a lousy $5K?

As for Millennium, I believe there may be risk there, but only if Phil Steele keeps winning. He touts them at every opportunity to all of his followers and they hold the lines for late phone sub's. He's been pretty red hot in CFB this season, but he lost last weekend and I fully expect the losing to continue. He can't win all season or Millennium will suffer.

I have never seen anyone on this website ever say a kind word about BetOnSports...ever. I have friends who have played with them with no problems. I've also played with them in two prior seasons. If memory serves correctly, the first season I zero'd out. The second season, I requested a payout of around $3K. A week went by, nothing. So then I called them and they said they had made a mistake. A few days later, I had my FedEx package. Why does everyone dis this book so badly?

I really don't know that much about SBG Global. I just thought I had read some favorable comments about them here on this site.

Thanks,

OSU- Likewise, I played with Betonsports and had no problems. But after hearing the horror stories here, never again. Talk to the Shrink about SBG Global. They are bad news.

OSGA is not a "real" entity. It was created by the books, and it will not help you.

Stay away from SBG Global. Illini's "A-list" is good, and I've never had any problems with Millenium.

The one I would be concerned about the most would be SBG Global.

Not only that...but a real watchdog wouldn't accept advertising money from books.

I have never had problems getting paid from these books you asked about:

Millenium, WWTS and VIP

I don't like WWTS that much. I have heard OLY and BoDog are solid.

I am surprised that you got paid so easily at Wagermall and Guardian at those figures. In fact, if I was being really skeptical, I would tend to doubt your story....but what the hell, I guess it's possible.

These books are real solid as far as paying: Pinny, Hollywood, Skybook, 5Dimes, BetJamaica.

Afraid of books that aren't OSGA endorsed. Now that is funny. Wagermall and Guardian would scare the crap out of me with that kind of dough there.
