This is way outdated and in need of over haul. It is not right to keep it as long as it cannot be updated, therefore I am considering ridding the feature until I can come up with a plan. What are your thoughs and do you have any ideas to keep it without having the search links?

Thanks

Maybe start a whole new section titled "Sportsbook Reviews by RX posters".

Then there can be separate threads for each sportsbook that people can add to as they have new reviews.

General, wouldn't the posters feedback be used if they are able to post their replies in the thread of each sportsbook? I know it may get kind of messy if you have a bunch of new threads started for ones that already exist for a sportsbook. Someone would have to keep on top of it, or people can't be lazy and would have to look and see if a thread alreadys exists.

Anyway, good luck...I think it would be helpful.

General:

This might take a little work but maybe consider having a thread for each book wherein posters could provide their opinions on the good and bad based on their personal experience. Strengths, weaknesses, etc. These could be running threads for each book. Start with current advertisers at the RX and expand from there. Just a thought.

sportsbook reviews are important, and this venue is a good source for that data. somehow we must all keep each other updated for our own benefit.

The obvious problem with a room and a thread for each book is the agendas that would arise. A person could use many handles to throw out bad PR for a book. Again, some are saying that the rating system we use now is not good (PS,PG,NK,NP). I am still looking for suggestions on this matter.

Perhaps something like Ebay has

Perhaps something along the lines like Ebay, with so many comments, so many positives vs negatives, along with the ability to access them by rating

If you want the poster's feedback, there's really no way to guard against agendas because if you start editing them, then it will look like you have an agenda. Let the reader of the post determine if the feedback is BS.

Personally, I don't think it's necessary for the RX to come up with an overall rating for each sportsbook. It can be very subjective. Let the feedback speak for itself. The great books will become apparent, and vice-versa.

Rating books today goes way past how they pay, I mean "pays great" should be a forgone conclusion at any book where Rx. readers are contemplating a post up.
Just look at the different threads about books lately and note the more important issues like:

Bonus and rollover required
Juice (reduced or not)
Limits (getting cut back an issue)
Deposit and withrdrawal methods (more important than ever)
Props available (including teaser odds)
Custome service
Software
Presence on the forums

There are other issues also and given the many complexities involved with these issues a simple PG or PS rating tells a bettor little IMHO.

wil.
