I've been playing their contest for quite a while. i won 3rd place in their weekly contest the week of July 25th. They were pretty prompt in informing me of my win. They asked for my name address, ect , so they could send me my winnings.
They say it takes about 17 business days to receive a check. So, i thought, cool. I realized they were based in, I believe, Costa Rica. A few of the sportsbooks sponsor them, i guess. Well, after almost a month, no check. So, I shoot 'em an email. Prompt response. Told me to wait one more week. Cool.
I wait about 2 weeks. Email them once more. I also do an advanced search, to see if anyone else had any problems getting a check. Never heard any complaints, just praise. They tell me their bank will trace the check, and they'll get back to me ASAP.
To make a long story short, they are now not answering my emails. Last correspondance i got was 3 weeks ago, they say as soon as the bank stops payment on the "lost" check, they will send me a new one, and let me know when they send it.
What should I do next?????? I assumed they were a legit contest site. My next step is to contact some of their sponsors. Can anybody "in the know" help me??? It would sure be nice to have an extra $500 to spend on Christmas.
