PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Pittsburgh Steelers running back Duce Staley was downgraded Saturday from probable to questionable for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
That means there is a 50-percent chance Staley will play against the team he left this season as a free agent.
Staley, averaging 101 yards a game, was listed as probable earlier in the week because of a sore knee. He was downgraded Saturday because of a hamstring problem that apparently developed during practice Friday.

The Steelers ended New England's 21-game winning streak by winning 34-20 on Sunday. Staley has rushed for 100 or more yards four times, and his strong running has complemented rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who has completed 70 percent of his passes since becoming the starter in Week 3. Jerome Bettis, sixth in NFL career rushing, and Verron Haynes probably will split time if Staley can't play. Bettis ran for a season-high 65 yards on 15 carries against New England after averaging only 1.7 yards a carry in the team's first six games.
