Bill Belichick was back in his most creative form Sunday as the Pats bounced back with a 40-22 win in St. Louis a week after its record 21-game winning streak was broken in Pittsburgh. Mike Vrabel caught a touchdown pass, Adam Vinatieri threw one and Troy Brown had three receptions and three tackles as an extra DB on a team without its top three cornerbacks.

Right now the NFL has a big three of Pats, Eagles and Steelers when you talk about Super Bowl contenders. Perhaps either the Colts or Vikings can join that group with a convincing win tonight in Indianapolis.

I couldn't agree more Wil. On paper the Pats are not that dominant ... he gets the most from his players, demands intelligent play, put them in positions to succeed and always has them prepared.

Not too many coaches in this guy's league.

oh yeah don't forget that Don Davis a back up LB and Special Teamer played a lot at Safety yesterday. Seems like the players are ready for anything.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) and trainers check on wide receiver Wes Welker (83) after Welker caught a pass and was tackled during the first quarter of an NFL football game against the Houston Texans on Sunday in Houston. The Associated Press

<!-- END Article Image(s) -->Rookie Arian Foster scored two touchdowns and Bernard Pollard recovered a fumble for a touchdown and had a key interception as the Texans rallied to beat the New England Patriots 34-27 on Sunday.
The victory gives Houston (9-7) its first winning record.
The Texans trailed by 14 points in the fourth quarter before ending the game with three unanswered touchdowns. Foster scored the go-ahead TD on a three-yard run with about two minutes remaining.
That score was set up by Pollard's interception and 15-yard return four plays earlier.
Tom Brady was hit by Mario Williams as he released the ball.
Brady played most of the game despite New England (10-6) having already clinched its playoff spot. He sat out two possessions in the second quarter and on the Patriots' last drive.
Five starters, including leading rusher Laurence Maroney, were inactive for the AFC East champion Patriots, but Randy Moss and Wes Welker started with Brady.
Coach Bill Belichick's decision to play many of his starters will likely be second-guessed after leading receiver Welker was carted off the field with a left knee injury in the first quarter.
Welker was injured when his left leg buckled as he turned to go upfield after a 12-yard reception on New England's first possession. He remained on the turf for a couple of minutes before hobbling to the sideline with help from Patriots officials and was soon taken to the locker room on a cart.
The Texans defence held on New England's last possession with rookie Brian Hoyer at quarterback.
Brady was 17 of 26 for 186 yards and Moss had 75 yards receiving.
Matt Schaub threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns and Foster had 119 yards rushing.

How can his decision be second guessed?? Welker got hurt on the first series and he was not even hit! Look around the league, starters were playing even until the 2nd quarter. It was a fluke injury that could have happened to anyone.

Brady played couple series in the 4th quarter as well..why didn't he get hurt?
