Damn, I thought for sure I was living my last day today. The flight from Vegas to Phoenix this afternoon was down right HORRIBLE!

When I come out to next years bash. I will take Fish's route, I'll drive!

You say this EVERY TIME you come back from Vegas, LOL

You have to realize that the Vegas to Phoenix route is extra bumpy from all that hot desert air rising.

If you come out here, it is as smooth as a baby's butt---you are flying 40,000 feet over the Pacific Ocean

This was horrible, trust me the worse ever.

That's just want I need, look out the window bouncing away, and see water below. I would take a fvcking boat before i would fly to HI, no offense.:toothless

this afternoon i look out the window and fuvcking lightning strikes were getting awful close. i seriouly think i suffered my first panic attack. my vision went blurry and i broke out in a serious sweat, all while my ears were ringing.

that is one feeling i am not looking to repeat.

the worse part was they were serving no drinks. the attendants were not allowed to roam about the cabin, the pilot said for safety reasons.

that's when the **** hit the fan, i would of paid top dollar for a couple shots of jack. and I HAT WHISKEY!

Fear of Flying

Keep in mind that the most dangerous portion of any airplane trip ... is the trip in your car to and from the airport.

Learn to relax flying is the best way to travel.

I hear ya Bigbet.......My very first trip to Vegas was an experience. The trip there from Florida was perfect, very smooth. BUT.........the trip back, in the heat of the day out of New Mexico was absolutely terrifying!! Once again, this was my first trip (counting trip over there) and I was with my best friend who had just gotten out of the Air Force for years and was in planes all of the time. The turbulence was so bad he was even beginning to worry, not to mention looking around, everyone else on the plane looked concerned. Now with this being new to me, and knowing most of these people had flown over and over, and to see the concern on their faces, you can imagine what it was like for me!:scared:

I have the same feeling about driving/riding in an auto. Both are bad. Never know when a semi truck will run you over or when a flock of birds will fly into that jet engine. Best to drink a few Busch beers, throw down a dollar, and relax at home.

Enjoy your traveling.

I have also had problems with fear of flying. Nothing so horrible I couldn't get on the plane, but bad enough that I've spent plenty of flights clenching the armrests and breaking out in sweats.

I have a personal theory that this may have to do with my gambler mindset. After all, doesn't it take the exact same mindset to believe that you will actually hit a lottery ticket or a 10 team parlay or a slot jackpot, as it does to believe you will be the 1 in a million flight that actually crashes?

Any other gamblers here with fear of flying?

There is one clear difference between flying and driving.

You are more likely to get into an accident when driving, BUT you probably won't die. Compare that to an accident in an airplane where you are pretty much guaranteed to die.

That's exactly what I've always said baseballguy! The airlines always boast on the statistic where planes don't crash even close to what automobile crashes occur, but as you and I say, at least when you're on the ground in a car you have a chance. If that plane goes down, you can flat out kiss your A$$$$...... goodbye! :toothless

Ya exactly, all while you are looking outside the window knowing what your fate is going to be.

Why don't they just make the plane out of the same material they make the black box with seeing as its the only thing that survives a crash:finger:
