thanks Jay for the update...but without reading the 287 pages is this a good thing or bad in your opinion? Are they any closer to allowing it to be legal between antigua and US ??

I haven't read the opinion yet myself.

What the Panel found was that blocking Antiguan companies access to the US consumers was in violation of the GATT Treaty which was signed by the US and ratified by Congress.

Under the terms of the treaty the Antiguan companies have a right to provide internet and telephone gambling services to consumers in the United States.

That's the jist of it. The US will appeal the decusion. Fortunately, the entire appelate process only takes 4-5 months.

We are certainly closer to ending the harrassment of Antiguan companies and Antiguan commerce.

thank you jay for the comments...it sounds a little like baby steps towards regulation of some kind IMO...Hopefully the gov will see its inevitable and just get regulation done like England

Yes, I have something to do at the office tomorrow. Well, I can't probably read that in one day (coffee breaks and internet surfing takes too much time), so I have to continue on Friday and maybe on Monday.
