nobody knows who you like, who you are playing or anything about what your doing. for me , the results seem to be much better than when you put yourself out there for everybody to see.

is it just me or does anybody else feel the same way.

i know that saying boston will cover tonight and telling everyone i know has nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but damn it seems like it does.

keep quiet = better results

talk about it = constant head shaking.

It's psychological imo. when you post a pick you root all the harder to be right, making a loss when it occurs, tougher to take.

nice to see some heavyweights feeling the same way.

i can make a play and lose and feel like i do when i lose. i post a play and lose and i feel worse. even though i have never met a single person on this forum and their is very little chance anybody would play it because i posted it.

i'm sure it's much worse for people with a reputation around here.

probably why posters come and go.

DITTO, as much as you would like to tell your fellow bettors how much u made for the week, I just say I collected or did pretty well. Been down that path too many times to get this after opening up my mouth :hitting:

Yes , especially when you have 2-3 guys hanging on every word you say, looking for a mistake so they can run back to their website and try and make fun of you...

Sad but true, some people live for that...

It's just one of the many reasons he's known as "The Lunatic", but like most wiseguys he doesn't want his "teams put out in the streets" for a multitude of reasons..and you better not do it!

I track a one unit standard play on usenet.

I also believe it's bad luck to post plays in "box" forums. Privately owned forums could fold and your documented verifiable track record would be lost forever. Posters in these forums tend to focus on other posters short term success and popularity rather than their ability to actually win "long term."

May as well post em all and eat it. Posting plays and losing is imaginary as stated but it sure seems to unfold that way.

When you post winners in your elation you forget about it.

When you post and lose - firstly you're pissed off and looking for something to blame hence feeling jinxed by the fact you posted.

I understand what you mean though, looking back it always feels that i have more winners when i keep my mouth shut - maybe there is negative karma projected on you pick by posting.

Nothing to be gained by posting anyhow except boosting egos.

Never post a lock or guarantee, I learned from past experience. If you like a game alot then say that but NEVER GUARANTEE ANYTHING HERE! There are certain posters that look everyday just for guarantee picks or locks, but don't play either way and hope you lose just to rip you a new A sshole.Never post what you need to finish a large parlay or a huge middle cause believe it or not YOU ARE JINXING YOURSELF!
