Leading Georgia 17-0 at the half is this the year for the Auburn Tigers and head coach Tommy Tuberville to go undefeated and win it all?

They certainly look like one of the two best teams... On both sides of the ball

I think they're the best team in the country. Similar to LSU last season.

Which is too bad because they don't play week in and week out in a minor league conference (pac 10)

Auburn will be playing for the title if they beat Bama and See. After this perfomance today, I feel they will be ahead of Oklahoma when the polls come out tomorrow. Especially with the everyone on ESPN giving Auburn their endorsements.

Anything can happen in the Bama game, but the real test will be in the SEC title game aginst the Vols. Not sure Auburn should be more than 3.5 point favs if the game happens (AUB-Tenn) on December 4th. in Atalnta.

Wil:

Auburn will be more than a td favorite against See. Remeber See is down to their 3rd string QB.

Hitman - good point, the 3.5 is my line, I really like the Vol team right now in spite of Irish loss.

Personally I hope Auburn gets a shot at USC. A little revenge for last years opener.

Though unbeaten, they are not quite as dominant as last year's LSU squad(when w/their A-Gm), yet in a "semi-down" year in terms of parity in college football, I do feel they are much superior to OU defensively, and with Campbell playing mistake-free, plus needing to only make the occassional play vs OU's dependence on White to carry Sooners, plus having two horses in contrast to OU's AD Peterson..they like LSU..deserve to be in the title game no matter whom the other team is.

What would be better than USC vs AU to end '04, in a rematch of the '03 opener, giving the SEC a shot at their 5th different school to win the National Title in the last 12 yrs, and 6th different in the last 24?..Football's version of ACC Hoops!

I believe Auburn would be a solid 7 point favored over Tenn. if not higher...not just because of today's game...
