Party Poker players....this is a scam right?

I came across this at a poker forum and if you play at Party Poker like I do you should check it out. This scam was placed on e-bay and although I dont believe it I must admit I do wonder sometimes. Draw your own conclusions.

It seems like everyone and their sister is coming out w/ new poker books, and this one seems like a load of crap at first glance.

i have a program that reads all the cards on the screen and gives your percentage of having the best hand and reccomends raise/check/fold...i got rid of it, felt like training wheels. plus the flipping between windows got annoying

Yea I tried those too but I found them distracting and I tossed it as well. But this is different because this guy claims the cards are not random and the algorithm can be figured out so basically you would know what cards are coming and when. That makes me feel uneasy because I have seen some strange sh*t.

I suppose you can chalk that up to seeing more hands played but.....

No RNG has ever been proven to be 100% random, but the level they are unpredictable makes me extremely dubious about this claim. As a disclaimer everyone must remember that a former lab tester for the Nevada Gaming Control Board figured out the RNG's in slots for video keno once and created a way to beat the game, but got caught and spent a number of years in prison. He had very intimate knowledge of the way it operated and this was older technology so not sure if it could be done again today, but the possibility will always exist because truly random outcomes 100% of the time aren't possible.

At best someone can improve your odds of knowing the next card. I would guess it would almost have to be an inside job though. One troubling bit is that software is written by programmers and they always could create next to impossible to detect backdoors for their benefit. Luckily this is a very remote chance and very unlikely to detract from your game. But if you love conspiracy theories and these things bother you, then don't play online because no one could possibly say without any doubt whatsoever that a flaw could exist.

Go to any real casino or pokeroom and ask about online poker. 95 percent will tell you it is a joke and to stay away.

The only people who say online poker is random and fair are idiots or affiliates.

Online poker is fair.

The only people who say it isn't are the idiots doubling me up routinely in tournaments because they have NO IDEA how to play poker. Let me tell you this. When you join a tournament, it is fair to say that out of 100 players at most 5 have a deep understanding of what they are doing. Of the other 95 only about 15 have a medium clue. The other 80 are just retards. Of those 80 i bet 10 of them will post here and argue with me in this thread.

online poker is a joke, I have played holdem in vegas and atlantic city on 87 occasions winning 66 of those times, I started playing online poker within the last 2 months at BODOG and Partypoker at both places I started out the 1st seven days winning like crazy and here I go thinking man this is to good to be true and sure enough not changing my playing a bit I had run my party poker acct from $1000 to $8440 in 8 days and in the last 6 days I have lost every bit back including losing 7 different post with anywhere from $500-$1000 in them on unbelievable river cards, I just know lost the remainder of my account playing the KJ of spade and the flop came queen eight and nine with 2 spades so the guy bets $50 and I call the next card comes ace of spades making me ace high flush and I bet my acct balance of $764 and this guy had $508 and called the river card was a queen needless to say he had queen ace in hole for a full house.

Over at bodog I started poker with $350 and I ran that to $1490 in 4 days and now have lost all of that in 4 days but $75 over there I have had aces laid down 24 times and won only 11 and of those 11 only 2 I said 2 Went to the river all the other times outdrew, I have had kings 22 times winning 8 times only 3 times did they go to the river. IMO these games are made for beginners they want you to win for a while they DEFINITLY do not want the same players to win everytime and they dont want the same players to lose everytime.

Online Poker IMO is just like everything else with money involved their is dishonesty and its a shame that these sites make so much on the rake they have to make all these unreal hands comeout to get the pots bigger and the best players cannot win.

I hope everybody has a hell of a night and all I can say is FCUK a bunch of online poker!

since I posted this I thought I might has well play that final $75 over at bodog and Its gone let me tell you how it went I got on the 1-2 nl table and after folding the first 12 hands I got queens laid down and bet $7 got 2 calls flop comes queen duece and six with 2 hearts and I bet $10 and the ole guy bets me all in as he raised from $10 to $89 with the ace king of hearts laid down so I call with my 3 queens turn card is jack spade so still looking good and the turn card is a good ole cockscuking motherfcking 3 of hearts. after the hand was over I typed in good hand paradise no response so I asked do you work for the house or know what cards are coming no response. Seems to me had a normal average joe won that pot he would have atleast responded. Bodog what a joke!

all of you are a bunch of crybabies....you play 3 times more hands online then live and everyone gets beat on shity play but you cant blame anybody because in this game luck is part of it.......best example...in one of the $100 multis on party....i get into the money when 40 got paid....down to 25 people i pick up kings...guy under then gun limps...im next to act...i raise 5 times the big blind for half my stack...everyone folds to him...he calls....flop comes 5-6-8..he checks....i go all in he calls me with A-5 offsuit....river he catches one more 5.....he made 3 mistakes in that hand and still won it....nothing i could do.

These are not helpful. If you stop and listen you may find out something useful. Hmmm, who would I rather listen to, these two clowns or Wild Bill who BTW is an excellent read. You should try it sometime fellas.

I cant sleep and its almost 4AM.....what am I doing? It must have been all that money I lost on the Skins today. I just wanted to point out one last thing before trying to go back to zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I decided to type in the words "online poker rigged" on Google and received 21,000 hits. I basically went through the first 50 or so sites and found there is alot of suspicion out there. I am still not convinced one way or another but I will say this, when big money is involved in anything, people will always try to figure out how to beat the system.

My biggest complaint with online poker is the rake. At the rate the hands are played these guys (poker sites) are cleaning up and the player must have a pretty good win % to stay ahead. With 50,000 players playing at any one time I think I could retire on their take in one day! :chest:

Party Poker is not rigged. People who lose say its rigged, and those people pay my bills as I play professionaly at Party/Empire. And bookie for your initial question, yes that guy's book is full of BS. I have read it as it was posted on some site at another forum for everyone to see. I have a database with over 100,000 hands in it and everything makes perfect sense with what it should.

Online Poker is fair so I guess I'm an idiot or an affiliate, well I'm definately the second! and theswami I know youll read this, log in to empire and check who took 4th in the 50K guaranteed! $3390 profit and so close to an even bigger payday. I love my job!

What a joke. The sites are not rigged. They are doing it for volume.

I have been playing to supplement my income for sometime and I know of several people who play for a living. If bad beats are busting you, you are either not a very good player or underbankrolled for the limit that you are playing.

I have experienced suckouts at real casinos as well as online, they will always happen, and you play way more hands online, hence, you see more suckouts. If you have proof of it being rigged, show some data....losing with a set to a flopped flush draw is not proof.

Good playing Matt. Anyone who has played in those tournaments knows how tough it is. As for the initial post, Im not trying to start a conspiracy theme against Party, its just that I found it interesting and thought some Rx members would find it as well.

i doubt the games are rigged but given human nature it is possible. my doubts come from seeing strange things in live poker AND understanding that i play probably 3x as many hands online as i do in live poker during the same period of time.

regarding the software, the seller could be a bad business person or it is a scam because if i had software that could reliably predict what cards are coming and when there is NO way i would share it with the world.

basically, given the potential by the owners to scam and other players to cheat, i plan to play until i start losing consistently when playing my best poker.

you guys who say online poker is a joke, couldnt be more wrong.

there are several people making a living off online poker i dont care if you believe that or not.

there are guys who quit their job to pull cheddar from online poker full time

there are guys who make around 6 figures doing nothing but playing online poker. some people do it on tournaments, some at the tables, some on both

if you have the expierence and the skills like any other job youre hired there are tons of crappy players to squeeze money out of plus all these gauranteed tournaments 110 bucks to get in and 40,000 first prize not to mention you can get in on a 10 dollar sattelite. some sites even have million dollar tournaments

please people

first time i ever played took me 2 hours to lose 300 bucks think of how huge this craze is and these people maxing out credit cards for thousands when they are complete rookies.
