hOW IS aUBURN NOT IN THE TOP 2?

The AP and ESPN polls continue to underrate BOISE STATE, thus hurting their BCS ranking.

WISCONSIN is now the most overrated team by AP and ESPN.

The computers love Oklahoma too...that is hurting Auburn in the BCS.

If AUBURN wins out, they will pass up OKLAHOMA.

Oklahoma plays at BAYLOR and as it stands right now, IOWA STATE in the Big 12 championship.

This soft remaining schedule will kill them considering Auburn as to play at ALABAMA and then a powerhouse in the SEC title game.

True but EVERY year they beat each other up. Watch out for Michigan in the next few years. Frosh starting QB AND RB...they should be able to improve and do damage. The toughest beat for them is that they play OSU, ND and Mich St. every year and those rivalries are so intense they are bound to lose (or play a close game) every year.

All conferences have rivalries but those seem more intense than others.

How in the world can you leave IOWA off that list.

Iowa and Michigan will probably be the two top teams in the conference for the next 3 years and these two always seem to have classic battles of late........Michigan winning this year to avoid losing for the 3rd consecutive year to the Hawks.

I didn't leave Iowa off the list.

With regard to Michigan, they have to deal with the rivalries IN ADDITION TO the random teams in the conference who may be competitive and/or ranked in a given year.

Iowa, Purdue, Wisky are among the teams in the conference who in any given year can be VERY competitive and cause problems for Michigan. I sited the historical "rivalries" because even in a down year those teams get up for the Michigan game.

I guess San Jose St (2-7) underrated them too?

Apparently needing a blocked field goal to beat SJ St still qualifies them as among the best in the country?

The only teams SJ St have beaten are Morgan St (4-6 in Div I-AA) and Rice (3-7, final of that game was 70-63)

I'm going to run the formulas for the 26-50 teams tonight just to see where they stand.

If that's the case, then you need to complain about Arizona St, who has an avergage computer rating of 7 (higher than BSU, by the way), yet only ranked 14 in the BCS (polls have them 20/21)

Computer averaging BSU 8th and being ranked 9th is not a major discrepancy (polls have BSU 12/13)

Yup, ASU way underrated by the two major polls.

ASU thrashing Iowa earlier in the year has really helped them in the computor polls.

Not to mention they also thumped UTEP in their opener, a team who has gone on and had a very fine season.

ASU only losses are to the the #1 and #4 teams in the country.

A VERY fine year by the SUN DEVILS........they are definetly underrated by the two major polls.

Boise State should be in the Orange Bowl & Arizona State should be in the top 10.

I can buy the latter of your statement, but no way does Boise belong in the Orange Bowl at this point.
