and noteworthy items happening around Las Vegas.

* Las Vegas Strip is about to change again. November 10,
MGM Mirage announced a $4 billion urban metropolis
to be built on the 66-acre site located between Bellagio
and Monte Carlo. Project CityCenter first phase is 18
million sq. ft consisting of a 4,000-room hotel/casino,
three 400-room boutique hotels to be operated by
world-famous hoteliers not currently represented in
Las Vegas, approximately 550,000 square feet of retail
shops, dining and entertainment venues, and 1,650
units of luxury condominium, hotel/condominium and
private residence clubs. It will create 7,000+ construction
jobs and 12,000 new permanent positions, largest single
new employment opportunity in history of Vegas. Construction
starts in 18 months, completion by 2010. Project CityCenter
is the largest privately funded project in the United States

* Bikini's Nightclub inside the Rio Casino celebrates their
2-year Anniversary this Saturday night.

* For you ladies . . . A new male revue presented by
Playgirl opened at the Sapphire gentleman's club. The
Men of Sapphire performs Fridays and Saturdays at
9:30pm, and tickets are $25,

* National Park Service (NPS) hosts a series of public
meetings providing an overview of the Draft Environmental
Impact Statement (EIS), allowing for public comment
and review of the document. The EIS will be the foundation
for the revision of the 1989 Colorado River Management
Plan (CRMP) for Grand Canyon National Park on 11-18-2004
at the Henderson Convention Center.

* A new world class restaurant / nightlife has opened at
Mandalay Bay called, Mix. A joint venture of Mandalay
Bay, China Grill and Alain Ducasse is sure to be a winner.

* One of the Vegas nightlife places has closed, Venus-The
Nightclub located at the Venetian Casino closed November 7.
A new venue will be announced later next month.

* 2 Live Crew is scheduled to perform at OPM on
December 10, 2004. Details and tickets will be available at:

* Upcoming concerts for Green Valley Ranch Casino are
Journey on December 10 at 9pm, tickets are $45-$90 and
Train in Concert on January 1, 2005 at 10pm, tickets are
$34.95-$74.95.

* Good News - Bad News . . . The bad news is the Monorail
is still not operational and no date in the future when it may
ever go back online. The good news is the Augustus Tower
at Caesars Palace is on time and on budget. The $289 million
new luxury 26-story hotel tower will add 949 new rooms and
will be open on schedule in August 2005.
