What to do with a match play bonus

I have 300 bucks in match play bonus money. I have never received a bonus in this manner before.

What have any of you guys done with it ?

Do I play some smaller parlays and try to get decent paybacks ?

Do I make a couple of straight bets ?

Well it depends on your situation but I would try to take a shot with a 2 team parlay, win that and break it down into about 4 straight bets...From there if you catch fire anything can happen!


I know a guy who turned a 26 dollar parlay into 12 grand...AIM HIGH!

i'm leaning toward a parlay. i dont think i have to risk it all at once.

i can break it up into seveal plays. i am going to verify this.

What is your objective WNO?

If you want to "maximize your profit with no risk" then hedge a lopsided game.
If you want to "little risk, big reward" then do the parlay.

That's about all there is to it IMO.

Maximizing bonus value.

Play 3 team parlays or some ML parlays.

A 100 matchplay is worth $50 to a straight bettor, dart thrower.

It is worth $75 to a 3 team parlay dart thrower.

600 * 1/8 = 75

It is a terrible mistake to bet straight bets with bonus money. Akin to standing on A4 at a 21 table

Agree with what was said directly above. Play at least a 2 team parlay or a few heavy fav moneylines.........

Heavily favored money lines would be the worst use of it the way I see it.

If you want to maximize the expected winnings from a match play wager, play a heavy dog with the match play money and the corresponding favorite at another book. To equalize your winnings regardless of the outcome of the game, use the formula [(ODDS of Dog x ODDS of Fav)/(1+ ODDS of Fav)] x Match Play Amt. Note that you are trying to maximize this formula: [ODDS of Dog/(1+ODDS of Fav)] x Matchplay Amt. For example, say you want to maximize your GUARANTEED winnings from a $100 match play. Then lets say you've found 2 wager combinations that you want to compare. First of all, find out which combo is better using formula 2 ...

1) Match play on +350 dog and counter wager on -400 favorite. This combination of wagers is worth [3.50/(1+4.00)] x 100 or $70
2) Match play on +220 dog and counter wager on -225 favorite. This combination of wagers is worth [2.20/(1+2.25)] x 100 or $67.69

In this case, the first combination of wagers is better and is worth $70. Now, using the 1st formula, calculate the amount to place on the favorite to guarantee a win of $70 either way ...

[(ODDS of Dog x ODDS of Fav)/(1+ ODDS of Fav)] x Match Play Amt
[(3.50 x 4.00)/(1+4.00)] x 100 = $280

So if you risk $280 on the fav, and play the $100 match play on the dog, you'll win $70 no matter what.

Note: 70 to 75 cents on the match play dollar is a pretty good return. If you can find a combination wagers to guarantee this amount in winnings, then you've found a good combo to use it on. Also note it is advantageous to concentrate on larger dogs rather than smaller ones, because the odds on the favorite don't have to be as close.

Just for fun play some $25-$50 parlays. Maybe you'll hit one. 6-7 teamers. With all the college hoops, NBA, and NFL it'll be quite a bit easier to find value for those bigger parlays.

Or... You could take it all and put it on the best side/total you can find.

i'm leaning toward breaking it up into $75.00 or $100.00 parlays. either 2 or 3 teamers.

5 dimes has so many options to choose from.

i have 11 funded accounts but use 5 dimes for recreational plays like 4 team 11 point basketball teasers and other monster teasers for football. i think it's just fun to try and see how many picks i can get right when given 17 points to play with. havent lost one of those yet.

having a place like that helps break up the daily grind.

i use the other 10 places for larger and more serious wagers.
