Baseball came out alright when they said screw the fans. In what way is hockey different?

Thanks for your opinion

I think that everyone loses interest as the season goes on

Meaning, a die-hard fan will come out of the lock-out being a season ticket holder.

Meaning, a season ticket holder will come out of the lock-out with a half-season package.
Meaning, a half-season guy fan will start buying single game tickets.

Single game guys will watch on TV

People who never went to games and just watched it on TV will just have more sex.

In the end, whatever the NHL loses in revenue, Trojan condoms will make in sales.

(Is that what you were asking about when you mentioned "screw"?)

Hockey has fans??? Lets see, we're 4th in popularity of the 4 major sports, lets strike.

Golf probably has more interest if it didnt already.. and Id sooner watch Bowling on ESPN before Hockey, I already prefer watching poker over hockey.

Heck I was pissed at hockey when I went to St. Louis while the '95 World Series was going on; I went to a party at a house with tons of tv's and not one was on the World Series. Everyone was watching the St. Louis Blues game.....since then I have had to live for a short period in Hockey central...now I know what the blue line is.

hockey is the best sport to watch when you have money riding because most the time it's tied up or a one goal lead and 99% of the time the spread's +- 1/2 goal so every time a player gets close to the net you get excited. DAMN I MISS IT!!!!!

I used to bad mouth hockey. but now that its not here i miss it. i liked watching the blues becuase they had a real sick offense and they scored like 8 goals a game. they were awesome

why dont they just take the nascar route and put sponsors on the uniforms?

it is very expensive to go to a hockey game. this is a very bad situation to me.

declining fan support and high ticket prices dont mix like 2 ...aww forget it

It's so nice not to have to watch those hockey highlights on SportsCenter. So much better.

anybody who bashes the sport just doesnt know anything about it. Every sport is great in its own right. when hockey comes back, go to a playoff hockey game... I will guarentee you will never experience excitment like that. bar none. esp in a place like Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Detroit or other big hockey cities.

Boston Univ beat the crap out of UMass-Lowell this evening - Chris Bourque (Raymond Bourque's son) got 2 goals for BU.

For people who miss hockey, Hockey East is the next best thing to the NHL:)

It is a lockout.

I know in Canada, fans are for the owners and I don't know why. In the states outside of the eastern cities and Detroit, there may be irrepairable damage.

This lockout is all about ******* owners like NYR and the clowns in Phoenix who pay players like Brett Hull big money in the offseason. I suppose that is the players fault.
