Stephen Jackson and Jermaine O neal also deserve healthy suspensions for those cowardly sucker punches they threw at FANS

When the camera panned to that little kid scared to death crying, I really got angry and I want heads to roll now.

The sad part is the little kid crying was with the big guy that sucker punched Freddie Jones. If that guy was there with kids and jumped into the fight, he should be shot. Imagine the kids there for their 1st NBA game. Sad story all around.

What in the world are you talking about Noreaga?? Artest tried his damnest to lay low and do the right thing while Ben Wallace showed his Azz. Then he gets things thrown in his face, and that's when he finally snapped, realizing that nothing he can do is good enough for fans.Now Stepehn Jackson is another story........

This entire scene could have prevented if at any point during this situation the principals involved chose to act like civilized human beings rather than wild animals. Unfortunately, most of these athletes grew up in fatherless homes and simply didn't have the role models to teach them how to act in society.

Incident 1 - Hard foul by Artest with 50 seconds left in game and outcome already decided. Was it flagrant.....perhaps not, but still totally uncalled for in garbage time.

Incident 2 - Failure of Ben Wallace to control himself after getting fouled. I actually blame him the least, even though he may be the biggest thug of all, as he was simply reacting to a cheap shot. But once again, real men are able to dig down and control themselves even though every instinct in their body may be telling them to attack the wrongdoer.

Incident 3 - Hard to believe people are actually defending Artest as they believe he was simply trying to stay out of things. Don't kid yourself.....lying on the scorers table was his attempt to make Wallace even angrier and to raise tensions even further. This ultimately caused the malay.

Incident 4 - Fan throws object at Artest. I keep hearing how soemone threw a bottle at Artest. Look at the tape. It was a paper cup! A civilzed person, realizing he suffered absolutely no bodily harm, would simply identify the wrongdoer to security, as many at courtside were doing, rather than charge into the stands like an animals and attack the wrong man.

If at any point during the four incidents above the actors chose to act in a civilized manner, the events that followed would have been avoided. Unfortunately, at every turn, the actors chose the wild animal route, and this is what resulted.

It IS atrocious how all the jock-sniffing 'analysts' are blaming the fans! These spoiled prima donna animals swung hay-making punches at fans who, while they shouldn't throw beer or go on court, certainly didn't do anything to warrant getting their heads taken off by Artest and company. If somebody threw a paper cup of beer at me or insulted me on the street and I tried to tear his head off with a punch Iwould do serious time if I connected it would be aggravated assault or worse.
It always amazes me how these commentators who, in the end are paid by the fans just like the players and coaches, always jump to the conclusion before any investigation that this is the fans' fault. Most have their heads so far up the jocks' asses that they can taste Brylcreem.

In sports, there are fans and there are players. The analysts want to be identified with the players - they want to be part of the story too. ESPN - and Chris Berman and Stuart Scott - are great at self-promotion and that is why Analysts are BUTT KISSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oneal and Artest should both be arrested right away. From what I've seen over a cup of beer softly landing on Artests chest they went into the stands and threw vicous punches at people a lot smaller than them.

this is so obvious I cant believe anyone has overlooked it, but some have. ARTEST IS NOT THE POLICE! the fan who threw that should be ejected. The Pistons could revoke his season tickets if they wanted. Bar the fan from the arena in the future, if they think thats warranted.

But starting a riot and throwing deadly punches at fans is insane, that was totally out of line. Artest had no cause to jump into the stands and throw punches. what an *******!

Ben deserves games but over-reacting to a hard foul is pretty common in that league. Going into the stands and pushing and throwing a towell at a player are two different animals.

Hell, I'm glad he went after the skinny little punk... what gives someone the right to throw something at a player? Because they bought a ticket? That's BS... I bet the skinny little **** learned a lesson. If you throw something at someone then they have the right to beat your ass. Simple as that.
