Herm Edwards should be fired after this year

Week in and week out, the team has to overcome his stupid in game decision making.

How the hell do you not challenge a play with a guy being down at his 1 yard line, instead of at the 30, when you have about 5 minutes to look at replays. Very fortunate not to have cost them the game with a missed easy FG by the Browns. I don't care what their record says, he is doing a terrible job this year. They are winning despite the coach, not because of him.

I'm a die hard Jets fan and eventhough Herm & Co. has done a bad job with clock management, etc. I don't think most of the blame should go to him. Edwards seems to be an excellent motivator, and I think that should count for something. Hackett, the offensive co-ord. is terrible and should be the first to go if anybody.
I agree they should've challenged that punt play, but one of his coaches upstairs has gotta tell Edwards to have it reviewed, because he had no chance of seeing that from the sidelines.

I agree he's a good motivator, but that can only take your team so far when you constantly put the team in position to fail. While Hackett is clearly the worst coordinator in the league on either side of the ball, it was Edwards who stuck with hackett this year instead of firing him, so the blame falls squarely on Herm. Plus he also has veto power over the ridiculous play calling, so he also shares in the blame when he doesn't overrule it.

Its hard to believe he didn't see a replay on the stadium screen. It was an INT, not a punt, and I am pretty sure there would be a replay of the home team making a big play.

Like Wandstedt and Martz, Herm cant make great decisions in the crunch. Good coaches except when it matters the most.

The Jets can beat all the non playoff teams they want and hype themselves up but they can't handle the big boys.

all I know is I've dealt with years of Walton, Kottite, etc. Herm is freakin Vince Lombardi compared to those jackasses.

Herm Edwards is a "less talented" clone of Tony Dungy........
and that's not saying much.........:movingeye
(Tony knows talent but has no idea how to use it)

I agree with booze. Compared to other jet coaches he is doing a great job. And the team plays relatively smart football and they dont make too many mistakes. However, he makes too many bad judgment calls.
i still cannot believe the way they handled the last minute of the ravens game. They had the ball inside the 10 with almost a minute left and they spent 30 seconds in a huddle and managed not to get 3 plays off. Possibly the worst coaching job at the end of a game that i have ever seen.

primetime, just as I said, another Tony Dungy. Who do you think his mentor was..........Dungy in Tampa! We saw the same ridiculous things here in Tampa when they were both here. Of course, Im not bragging on the current status of the team either! lol........
