Do you trust these contests books have?

For example WWTS has "U Guess It" contest for MNF. Guess the winning team along with the exact score of the game and you win $5000. Thing is if there are multiple winners, the prize gets split between all winners. Understandable, but what happens if I were to hit? Aren't they gonna claim there were 3 other winners or something like that so that they only give me $1250? I would think so. I really don't trust these ooks. I have no reason to.

What are your thoughts?

WWTS was so awful CS wise when I was with them that I'd never go back. Don't think they'd be untrustworthy though.

I've placed twice at Sirbet, now Sirtwo contests so I can only say for certain that those were legit. I have little reason to think that a book of WWTS's stature would need to cheat -- they seem very honest IMo.

It would be great if there was a way to view all entrants...not sure how feasable that is ..

Gee what is better, winning $1250 in a contest where you put up nothing or winning nothing but not having to wonder if you would have gotten screwed?

Ask RedEye if the contests are real, he got a trip to the Superbowl and wasn't told he had to give up one of his tickets to a shared winner...

i find it hilarious that so many of you are always so quick to say how fair books are when it seems i hear negative reports daily. i wouldn't trust ANY of these books as far as i can throw 'em.

And how are you convinced it is not fair? Are you not backing yourself into this crisis of confidence? What proof do you have that the books aren't trustworthy?

Just my observation but if you don't trust a book for a free contest, then you probably shouldn't even be playing offshore.

I see Sherman's point. It's not like SKYBOOK contest where you see the entries.

I guess you must trust them, at least you can't lose.
