Journeyman and I were talking about 7-11 Slurpees and baseball cards yesterday and I thought it would be cool to hear where everyones childhood baseball card collection ended up.

I'll let Jman tell his story again...as for me I started collecting them at age 9 and had them neatly filed away under teams separated by years in a tackle box my Grandfather left me. Most were bought at the 7-11 in Port St. Lucie, Florida some were trades with friends. I had Reggie Jackson's rookie card and Steve Carlton....and so many more.

In 1984 I went to Tallahassee to see the hated Gators play FSU and left my girlfriend at home in Atlanta. I lived in an apartment at the time and had the all purpose storage room on the balcony that I constantly bitched about being a cluster. So, while I was away yelling Gators Suck my girlfriend was cleaning out the storage room along with my tackle box full of my baseball cards.

Where are they now? I don't know...she left them at the Goodwill and someone got very lucky. They were history when I went to look for them; I got the tackle box back BTW.

The girlfriend is missing, too.

Have a well over a million cards sitting in my closet from the 60's to the present plus other various forms of collectibles.

Been attempting to liquidate for the last 10 years...........made little progress.

Have quite a few cards valued over $100, some professionaly graded allready.

I have all of my cards in the mid 60's too, including some great rookie cards like Nolan Ryan,Carlton Fisk, etc. Still have my freaking 8 tracks too. Is E-bay the place to get rid of 8 tracks also ?
