If you plan to take them up on their offer of 100% bonus. The are apparently undertaking in a false adverstising campaign where they email you everyday offering 100% matchplay for thanksgiving and then renig on their offer after they get your money.

I signed up for the first time today and deposited the $250 and they refused to give me the bonus because I had played at Rio over a year ago and made a cashout. It didn't mention anything about playing at one of thier sister books in any of their numerous unsolicited spam emails sent to me, nor did it say it in their terms. FYI, I only mae one cashout from Rio ever and I'm down $1800 there overall.

I called and spoke with them and after being put on hold to find the exact reason they came back on and said they couldn't talk anymore and needed to take other calls, nice customer service.

To sum up...

SKYBOOK SUCKS!!!

Same thing happened to me about 1 year ago. I received a payout from Rio and only AFTER I made a deposit did I find out. I noticed that I didnt get the bonus when I deposited so I called about it. The girl said hold on and she proceeded to check other sister books for info and then said that I wouldnt get a bonus because of that.

Maybe they will at least send you a free turkey

Sorry to hear that your disappointed.

In SKYBOOKS behalf, I know for a fact they are being flooded with customers today on this offer.

Knowing Skybook customer service as I do for the last 7 years, I am sure they explained in detail why you were not eligible......and in a cordial way.

Quite honestly, I am sure you know that RIO is a twin sister book of SKYBOOK and knew that quite possibly you would not be eligible for this promotion.

If not certain in cases like this, call before hand to make sure.

Ladeda,

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Skybook is the premier post-up property of Rio International Group. At no time do we hide that we are one company with varying “front doors.” This model was created with no other intention than to give the player more options.

<o:p></o:p>

This is a very appealing promotion, but to offer these types of promotions we need to have a certain amount of strict rules, one being enforcement of our New Money Policy. If we eliminate that rule, we would not be able to offer this promotion.

<o:p></o:p>

In no way were we trying to mislead, and am sorry that you felt that way. It is common knowledge that our New Money Policy umbrella’s all of our properties.

<o:p></o:p>

Reference:

Promo Rules: http://www.skybook.com/promo.asp

House Rules: http://www.skybook.com/rules-regs.asp

<o:p> </o:p>Lastly, our emails are not unsolicited spam, and I resent the implication. We use the Award Winning service ConstantContact for all of our broadcast communications. Our newsletters by definition are not SPAM. Anyone that does not want to receive the emails can select to be taken off of the list very easily. All Rio International players are automatically on our mailing list.

<o:p> </o:p>Once again we are sorry that you feel mislead, but we must have strict rules to be able to continue to offer promotions like this.

i RECEIVED THE EMAIL FOR THE 100% BONUS FOR t-DAY ONLY MYSELF, AND THE SECOND THING LISTED IN THE PROMOTION WAS THAT "DEPOIST MUST BE LARGER THAN THE PREVIOUS WITHDRAWAL"

I feel bad that you sent a deposit without checking, but it is written right there in the email....

Good luck

Hey guys , I understand they are a popular advertiser here so I was expecting Skybook to be backed up here.

Fishhead, you are wrong, they did not explain in detail why I wasn't eligible. In fact after talking to them for a while then being put on hold they got back on and said they COULDN'T explain it in detail and that they needed to take other calls. They said I could call back later and get an explanation, which was not very satisfying since I was going to thanksgiving dinner and wasn't about to sit there with my family talking to skybook all day.

I had no clue I wouldn't be eligible for this promotion. I know they are related to Rio. They really shouldn't advertise it as a seperate book if it is the same book.
I played at Rio once years ago and lost money and that makes me ineligible to receive the offers Skybook emails to me?

Are you guys seriously going to argue that it is legit for Skybook to get my email address from their sister book, use that information to send me an offer via email. Then when I deposit take back the offer????

Yeah I saw that Bucs. But it didn't say anything about Rio.

Main point is DON'T SEND ME THE OFFER IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO HONOR IT. I'm a first time player at skybook. It says it for first time players.

It really says a lot about the advertisers here when a sponsored book can email players a promo every single day begging them to take them up on it and then say no bonus after they finally sign up and deposit.
