Its strange because he really was almost automatic....He may have an injury , its unusual a kicker fall off so fast like, that at his age....

His troubles seem to start with that miracle game vs Carolina last yr with the X-tra point blocks.

I was at that game and you could just see it when he missed that last kick. The way he moped and then held his head as the Panthers drove the field said it all, something you probably couldn't see if you weren't in the stadium with a view of the bench. Gruden had given him one last vote of confidence, by shutting down his in-a-groove QB for a pathetic running game that was certain to lead to a FG attempt. The snap was bad and most kickers would have missed in that spot, but the way Martin took it I truly felt he wouldn't be kicking any more for the Bucs. At least for once my instinct was right!

He will be back in a few weeks with another team.

Kickers are like left handed pitchers in baseball in the bullpen. It really doesnt matter how bad they are, there is almost always a job in the NFL for a veteran kicker

Tons of talent, just having problems upstairs right now is all. Instead of being remembered for losing games for the Bucs this year, hopefully the many big kicks he's made in the last several years to win them so many will come to people's minds instead.......

Fvcker cost me a HUGE middle last week with TB on ML and Carol +3.5. :finger:

I hope he ends up broke and living in a trunk of an abandoned car in Little Havana, like David Woodley.

Actually, I am sorry to say I just did a web search and found out he died of liver failure last year at age 44.

He had a very troubled life after the dolphins and was homeless for a while, as I recall.
