I read what Prisco and Judge said about it, and yes Carolina's closing in the last 2 years might be a good stat, but facing all those injuries? They really dissapointed me this year.
Any one else have something to say? :drink:

absolutely.. the 2nd wildcard spot has a record of 5-6, 4-7 is only one back.. if I had to pick a 4-7 team to get in , id bet Tampa

I like Carolina's chances

Panthers remaining games

Dec 5 @New Orleans 1:00pm
Dec 12 St. Louis 4:15pm
Dec 18 @Atlanta 8:30pm
Dec 26 @Tampa Bay 1:00pm
Jan 2 New Orleans 1:00pm

Bucs remaining games

Dec 5 Atlanta 1:00pm
Dec 12 @San Diego 4:15pm
Dec 19 New Orleans 4:05pm
Dec 26 Carolina 1:00pm
Jan 2 @Arizona 4:05pm

Big game on the 26th if both or one or the other is still in the hunt.

Forget about TB. Carolina has a chance if they knock off the Rams and finish 8-8, slim but possible if they go 7-9.

I will go further and say that two 4-7 teams will get in-- in order of likelihood:

TB, Ariz, Carolina.....

here i go with the if's but - if seattle wins the division and stl/car both win this week the stl/car game in charlotte dec. 12 could well determine who is in the drivers seat for the final nfc playoff spot. if panthers win and both teams are then 6-7 of course the cats would win the tie breaker in the event they have same record at end of season.

The stumbling block TB has is that they lose the tie-breaker to the Rams. They would have to hope the Rams win the division leaving Seattle as the team to beat. Only one WC is available as Minn or GB will get one.

I discussed this earlier, there is a real possibility 7 or 8 teams could all end up with 7-9 records.

If Tampa doesn't make it they will have Auto-matica to blame for it!

Two teams atleast coming out of the north with Vikes and Pack. That leaves 2 teams. I'd have to go with Seattle with one spot and probably Carolina

viking611....the Carolina game in Atlanta is a must or bust for the Panthers....We will find out alot about Seattle and Minnesota this week, Dallas will get killed in the wild card by whom ever they play...Eagles are a great road team so I think they will get HFA....Atlanta was the only team to beat the Packers at home in years....I still say Falcons and Steelers in Jax.
