Depends on what games you like, for an example the Madden game on XBOX is clearly more defined...However PS2 has many more games...

bang for your buck its ESPN 2k5 (xbox) 19.99 VS 49.99 for live.

ESPN game has a lot of depth, a lot of interactives, 24-7 mode is sweet and the Association mode is sweet you even control the types of practices and what kind of trainers you want to hire even choosing chiropractors and hired massages

forgot to add, in ESPN you have to deal with the players, they come and talk to you during the season and you have to choose the type of response and it affects their play and team chemistry if you pick the right/wrong answer

I just bought a big screen tv and when I play PS2 it looks like crap. The pixels are blown up so much that the graphics look like crap. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

wouldnt suggest playing PS2 or any video games on big screens over some time images will be "burned" into the screen permanently

Don't want that! Would that still be the case with a DLP tv?

Yeah I guess it's not worth the risk. I was hoping one day they would come out with an "HDTV" version of the PS2. Didn't play it much anyways but would still be nice to have the option.

The price of all the competing EA games have come down because the ESPN series is all so cheap. You can get the NBA, NHL and NFL games for 29.99 now. I have to give ESPN series kudos because I think 19.99 is a fairer price to pay for games. Especially now that they all have advertising in them, they can recover a lot of costs just by charging for that. Pretty soon you will have a very realistic looking game, there will be about 20 ads pasted around the boards in hockey and around the stadiums in the other sports!

JJ - Both games are great and will be fine.... So take the better deal. That'd be ESPN.

It's absolutely phenominal that the video game industry (one of the largest in product industries in the world) has not been affected by price inflation.

Not only have they stayed the same...but in more cases now they've dropped in price.

I think the main reason for games staying low in price is the format. Once games were produced on inexpensive cd's instead of multi piece cartridges, production became much faster and cheaper. I look forward to when you can simply download the game to your platform and pay online. No more long lines at kb toys, or sellouts, backorders, etc. Xbox rocks the party, but how far off is PS 3?

Thanks Boys

Does anyone know if these games can wreck a big screen tv picture for sure or is it better just top play on 27 inch regular tv??
