Just watched Clippers/ Twolves and Spewell is yelling to someone in the crowd, late in the game..."Suck my dick". Did it twice.


How do you bring a kid to the game with that crap????

When you make that kind of money for people they have a tendency to look the other way. After all, Sprewell came back after getting kicked out of practice and choked his coach. It wasn't someone who got in his way or someone who hit him or even a knee-jerk reaction. Sprewell had thought about choking his coach and didn't just cuss at him but he took physical action toward him.

If a normal person had done this they would have gone to jail. Sprewell should have had to sit in jail but the Player's Union defended him to keep him out of jail. I wonder if the Player's Union would defend O.J. if he were convicted of murder.

I barely even watch the games. Wouldn't even care about sports on TV (except boxing) if it wasn't for betting.

It makes it worse if you watch the pre-game shows and sportscenter because then you have to learn about the personal lives of these animals. I prefer to get all my betting info online.

There is very little hope for the NBA outside creating some crazy rules which will get old quickly as well.

As long as we can gamble on the games, this crowd will put up with it all. Spree is a dik and everybody knows it. He has game, and his team is good. He needs to rein it in because of extra scrutiny.

<!-- END INLINE UNIT -->Sprewell responded to the female heckler with a sexually vulgar term, the Star Tribune of Minneapolis reported in its Tuesday editions.



The comment was apparently picked up by a courtside microphone and was broadcast by Los Angeles television station KTLA and by the Timberwolves' broadcast on KSTC television in Minnesota.



Tim Frank, vice president of basketball communications for the NBA, said league senior vice president Stu Jackson was reviewing the tape. A decision on possible punishment was unlikely before Tuesday.



A spokesman for the Timberwolves said the team had no comment.



KTLA-TV general manager Vincent Malcolm told the Star Tribune that the station had received as many as 15 complaints and will institute a seven-second delay in the future.



The incident is the latest controversy for Sprewell. Last month, he received a misdemeanor citation after arguing with a police officer during a traffic stop. Sprewell, who was a passenger in the vehicle, claimed he was treated unfairly.



The 34-year-old Sprewell also demanded that the Timberwolves either extend his contract or trade him, saying, "I've got my family to feed." The comment by Sprewell, who will make $14.6 million this season in the final year of his deal, drew criticism from NBA commissioner David Stern.
