What would end this BCS crap is simple, and it's not a playoff.....

If the Pac 10 and all the other conferences would have conference championship games, it would reduce the chance of having this many undefeateds in the end. I feel like a team like Auburn and Oklahoma should be rewarded for playing a conference championship and USC and anyone else should be on the outside looking in until they play one! Enough said!

Guys...every year there is "one thing" that will fix the mess... The BCS implements that change and then there are still problems.

The Conference championship wouldn't have helped this year.

What... So USC would have to play Cal or whoever again and they'd beat them. So then what?

Imagine if Cal beat USC. We'd have a clear cut championship game (aub/oak...still leaving out boise and utah) but the rest of the games would be a bigger mess with two 1 loss teams being left out. No thanks.

I don't understand why these bowl games can't be made into playoffs. Fed Ex, Nokia, etc etc can still give their millions...the schools will still get their millions, and everyone will be happy.

What would work is if they did away with the six automatic berths. Just take the top 8 BCS teams and put the in the four BCS bowls however they see fit, with 1 playing 2 of course.

Pittsburgh, Michigan, and any other team ranked past number 8 have no business being there.

Also... Why do we need 4 weeks break before the national title?

I never understood that.

We have ONE week before every game in the year...and then all of the sudden...at the end...we need to break 4 weeks before the game. Yes I understand Xmas break...

I like the long wait. Only time of year I bet on a coach over a team. I am a Michigan die hard but Id never bet them in a bowl game. I dont like Lloyd and his gameplanning ability.

something I hate to admit is that Ill bet the Buckeyes every year in the bowl games under Tressel because if you give that man 4 weeks to prepare he can and will beat anyone. (miami as a 14 pt dog, Kansas St as a 7 point dog)

i really used to like the Bowls the way they were. some conference champs frozen into bowls, Bowl bids if the school wants to take them. AP and UPI voting. MAde NEw YEars day the best sports day of them all. NOw its all a crap shoot and games on every which day.

Totally agree with you. The Rose Bowl feels so cheapened since teams like OU, Texas, Miami, Nebraska have been in it. Just have one game set up by the BCS and leave the rest to their own devices. Bowls like Fiesta will have no affiliations and can work to get the best game, not the one they are essentially dictated.
