* New York developer Ian Bruce Eichner recently unveiled
plans for his Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino, a 4-million
sq. ft project consisting of two 53-story aquamarine glass
towers housing 2,400 timeshares, hotel and condo units.
He will construct a 70,000 sq. ft casino, 1,900 seat theater,
150,000 sq. ft meeting and convention space. An additional
5-story high rise will be constructed for 300,000 sq. ft retail
spaces. Cost estimated at $1.5 billion, and completion is
scheduled for 2008, located at the Strip and Harmon,
adjacent to the Bellagio.

* The Travel Industry Association of America forecasts that
Las Vegas will have 37-million visitors in 2005. Make your
reservations early.

* On schedule, Steve Wynn's new casino called Wynn Las
Vegas will open April 2005. The $2.4 billion, 2,701 room
Mega Resort is going to be the ultimate in Las Vegas luxury.
Even though his project has not opened, Wynn has announced
an expansion of a $900 million, 1,500-suite tower that is
expected to open in 2007. Rumor has it a second expansion
will include 142-acre mixed use project to be announced soon.

* Rumor has it that Professional Baseball's steroid scandal will
take investigators to a local Las Vegas Gym, (Gold's) located
on Eastern Avenue.

* 2 Live Crew to perform at live OPM Nightclub, located in
the Caesars Forum Shops, December 10.

* The late night "IN" crowd is now going to "Mix" the new
nightclub/restaurant that recently opened on the 64th
floor of TheHotel at the Mandalay Bay.

* Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel and Richard Chamberlain's
Envy Steakhouse opened December 3, Las Vegas's newest
addition. Located adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention
Center, Renaissance is Nevada's largest non gaming hotel.
The hotel is 14-stories tall and has 548-rooms and 30-suites.
Envy Steakhouse is adjacent to the Renaissance and boosts
a 1,500 bottle wine selection.

* December 7 and 8 are the scheduled opening dates for made
over Teatro, the upscale newest nightclub at the MGM Grand
Casino. Teatro has undergone remodeling and will soon be
the "IN" place for the highrollers on Tuesday nights.

* Recently closed Wet and Wild Waterpark is getting ready for
its new life, that of a 3.000-room high rise casino/hotel. The
27-acres will house one 750-foot tower and at this time will
be called The Palace of the Sea. A nautical theme is planned
for this new project.

* Rumor has it that television is tired of casino reality shows
and the Golden Nugget Casino will not go into a second year.
Apparently the owners of the Golden Nugget wanted to
continue with their television exploits but the Studios has
had enough of the low ratings.

* The rodeo is in town and continues for 10 days. The greatest
cowboys in the world compete nightly at the Thomas and Mack
for a prize money pool worth more than $1.79 million. The
Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association contract continues
through 2009. However, negotiations are underway to extend
this 20-year marriage with Las Vegas through 2014. The
NFR, National Finals Rodeo is the Superbowl of Rodeo.
