I have projected the games for the next two weeks and if form holds true look at this!:

NFC Wild Card #2

8-way tie at 6-8:
DAL
DET
CHI
CAR
TB
SEA
STL
ARZ

NYG and WAS 1 gb at 5-9.

Of course, SEA, STL, and ARZ would all be tied at 6-8 for the NFC West as well.

This is not at all far fetched, and I would imagine every game I have projected the winner, they would be favored in.

There could likely be a few upsets in there, but it is indeed fascinating.

I like the Panthers to take the final NFC wild card spot.

CAR's remaining schedule:

STL
at ATL
at TB
NO

Next three weeks are huge for them. They will need to hold at home against STL (looks likely right now) and upset one of the other two on the road.

I have them projected at 7-9 (along with 7 other teams). Giving them two home wins, two road losses.

STL certainly has the edge in the NFC West, but they have a murderous schedule left. They may end up needing only one more win to wrap up the division, but if they don't get it in ARZ in wk.15 it's possible they could finish 6-10.

SEA has games against 3 playoff teams and ARZ. Their best hope is ATL wraps up the division and rests Vick and co. on the last week of the season.

Of course both teams aren't exactly setting the world on fire and going 0 for the last week is not out of the realm of possibility for either of them.

Like it matters. Whether the teams were getting in at 9-7 or 7-9 they are still fodder for the Eagles and people will still watch the playoff games. A 9-7 season is nothing to be proud of either, but the networks will be damned before they have qualifying requirements like the bowls do. The games must be played.

Win-lose-or-draw, Caro & Buff are definitely woofing spinach of late, with both seemingly hellbent committed to ride their waves into their conference's dance, but look for the linemakers to adjust hard soon, if the charge continues.

Lets play behind the numbers. Panthers won last 4. Anyone want to mention who they beat. Oh yeah, the Aints, the Bucs (thanks to turnovers and bad coaching), the Cards, and the Niners. I think they are improving, but lets not get crazy about them when they just beat a bunch of teams they should have beaten.

True WB, this is the same arguement I made on a thread of GB riding it's small wave into Philly.

Gonna have to start capping all these horrible NFCers by their AFC-Intra efforts, as they are awefully muddy looking amongst their own.

Of course it matters because once you're in you have a shot, whether you are 15-1 or 7-9. Obviously the Eagles are head and shoulders above the rest, but an injury here or there and the gap closes.
On any given Sunday anything can happen, and to have a shot to win it all you have to make it there first.

Bucs should be in the driver's seat, but ole Automatica cost them AT LEAST 1 game, probably 2. After all the injuries to Carolina, I'd say John Fox should be up there for coach of the year.

If the BUCS win this week against SAN DIEGO, they may very well run the table................and in the process, screw my BUCS UNDER 9 WINS wager.

The scariest scenario is AZ taking the division title-- even though they showed zip last Sunday: they play both Seattle & STL(after SF next week), and both those teams have murderous schedules left to boot.

The Bucs' remaining schedule screams 3-1, and if they could pull the miracle in SD, they could run the table...

That game against Carolina that Gramtica cost them really looms bold now, or they would have the inside track...

Still someone is gonna have to go 4-0 to leap them.....

I cant see the Rams going 2-2 with their remaining schedule, and the way they are playing, so that leaves GB or Minny with a shot at one wild card, and one of them automatically gets a loss due to playing each other, so they would have to win 2/3 to go ahead of the bucs...

there is still hope in Gruden-town........

its ALL worthless anyway as none of these teams can hold a candle to Philly this year and IF one of them scummed it out and managed to get to the superbowl, they would be promptly pounded by 1 of 4 AFC Teams..

Can't we ALL just get along?!!

:WTF: :WTF: :WTF:

Newsflash: The birds are a totally different team than even last year's group.

Oh and that game against Green Bay? To a man every single Eagle has said they haven't played their best football yet. When this team finally puts a complete football game together it will be very scary.

Where are all the early season Giants backers?

Preseason high end projections are now doubtful ...
