Actually he is still here. For some reason our video on demand is not working. It kind of works every so often.

Anyway this guy is truly an idiot. He has tried 5 boxes so far and it still does not work.

At that point, I suggested that he check something else because I don't think the problem is in the box, LOL!

Anyway everytime he connects a new box and calls this lady @ dispatch HE tells her the serial number.. You would think he would wait to see if it worked before putting the box on our account. And it is not like they have to activate the box because it was working before he called in.

There are reasons that comcast techs did not make it to med or law school.

I worked for Comcast throughout college in customer service. He does need to call the box in to get any pay channels, sports subscriptions or On Demand to work. The box will work on any non-addressable channels meaning any channels you can get without a cable box. If he is checking On Demand, he would need to get the box on your account. Now there should be no reason why he would check 5 boxes or so. You'd be suprised how much money Comcast techs can make. They also get free cable with all the channels, free internet and a free computer. Comcast does take care of their employees.

LOl- I can just imagine Baseball Guy bitching about this...Hell I would be too, nothing like the damn Cable Co screwing you over....Try calling them for something and sitting on hold for two hours, they have gotten better though...

Or the dreaded "4 hour window" you have to resign yourself to , to get them to come out.

Too bad they don't take care of their customers. I called in asking for a credit and they said tha on demand is free so they can't issue one. Well the only reason I signed up for digital cable was for the on demand. I have no need to watch 500 channels of mostly garbage(Nick kids, MTV 3-50)
