You know every now and then a Saturday night at home isn't so bad. I learned some things tonight; I learned about Dale Earnhardt the ledgendary number "3" and NASCAR. Then I got to watch an HBO Sports Special, "The Curse of the Bambino"....Probably painful for Red Legs in the beginning but more so for Yankees in the end.
One of the things that made me think about this topic was a sentence from HBO......"Edgar Renteria made the last out of the 2003 World Series, he was wearing the number three; just like Babe Ruth, who wore number three when he made his last out in Yankee Stadium."
Dale Earhardt Sr. driving, "The 3 Car" died on the third turn of the 500th lap at Daytona International Speedway in 2001, trying to protect his son's lead.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. won three races that year.
