i'm in a nccaf bowl pool, it works like this:
pick a team to win each bowl, then pick a degree of confidence (1-5) in that team to when. If the selected team wins you get the confidence points, if the team looses you subtract the points
ex: Oklahoma 5
if OU wins i get +5, if OU looses i get -5...
add up all the points at the end, whoever has the most wins.

WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD STRATEGY FOR THIS POOL?
i was toying with the notion of just playing all 5's on all favorites...
any advice?

thanks

You gotta figure that some other players will do the same...

The key to contests like that, is picking an upset or 2, and hitting them...

Even if u dont play it big, pick an upset with a 3....

If you get it, its an 8 point swing in the standings......

Its alot like an ncaa bracket, you can go through by the seedings and see who should be favored, and go all the way through, where will that get you?

You know there wont be 4 #1's at the end, there are always upsets...

the guys that win those, are the ones who picked Hampton, or Nevada in the first round, and get those points no one else gets....

Good Luck
