With a logjam in the NFC of mediocre teams vying for a wild card spot, todays game at San Diego, becomes vital for the once-dead Buccaneers....

When Johnson went down, and Simms was injured in his first game, it looked like another bad season was looming for Tampa Bay...

However a resurgent Brian Griese, a strong season by Michael Pittman, and an outstanding rookie receiver in Mark Clayton, along with the resurrection of the staunch defense has given new life to the Tampa Bay playoff hopes.....

at 5-7, there remaining schedule is very favorable, and several of the teams they are vying with are playing each other today, which insures some losses by those teams........seattle and minnesota face off, as well as Stl and Carolina, not to mention TB hosts Carolina next week in a revenge game.....then closes with New orleans and Arizona, 2 very winnable games......

Its basically up to the Bucs now...today will be the toughest test, and if they can pull the upset, their chances at a playoff berth are quite good.....

As down and out as we were early in the year, its amazing to still have a shot this late in the year.....

And everyone knows, that once u get in, anything can happen...Just ask Carolina

And dont think that quite a few teams wouldnt care to see TB coming to town to play, with a more potent offense then the last couple of years, and a strong defense......this team is still dangerous if allowed in....

Philly is the only team that might want to see them, to extract a little revenge for the last 2 beatdowns......

I know Atlanta doesnt want to see them, they are always tough against Vick......

Today is the day, make or break...They arent out if they lose today, but for all intents and purposes they are, basically the playoffs start now for the Bucs.......

Put up or shut up.........:suomi:

I can't believe I feel bad for the Bucs and want them to win. It must be the Gruden connection.

Go Bucs!

well that just fell through the cracks...

Griese who has played great for us this year, throws an int for a td and then fumbles the next time, to seal the deal.....

Oh well, there is always next year....

Griese always makes bad play, he has done much better this year but has to cut out critical errors

Offense looks as if it will be solid in the future, but Bucs defense just isnt what it used to be, despite the shutout of Atlanta last week.......
