Pitt, Philly and the defending Super Bowl Champion Patriots all sit at a
staggering 11-1 (when is the last time this happened?) are these 3 teams this good or is it more a sign of times in the NFL....

And the Steelers destroyed both the other two 11-1 teams...Take away that and these 3 teams have lost just ONE GAME Balto beat Pitt when Tommy Maddox was still in at QB

A combined 33-1 against the rest of football :drink:

If you compare them to previous era teams, i don't think they fare so good, though........

Soon to be three 12-1 (as long as TO doesn't fumble in the red zone anymore and we can survive 4 defensive linemen injuries).

SB - To be honest crying about injuries at this stage of the season in the NFL is not cool. Everyteam has walking wounded. Looks like the Skins D has come to play.

No one over the last 4 years has even been close injury wise Wil. No one.

Cincy was too little too late today. ;)

NE and Pitt are really good teams, not to mention Indy. Philly looks good just because their in a weak confrence. If they get to the Super Bowl, this will be the weakest NFC team represenitive in at least 20 years

If Philly was weak they would be muddled around with every other NFC team. 5-2 against the AFC the last 2 seasons. Beat every NFC team on their schedule by double digits. They are one of the strongest NFC teams of all time...the Eagles are a dynasty but they need to win a Super Bowl to cap off their legacy so they don't end up like Buffalo or Minnesota (i.e. the Denver effect).

When your team takes 3 straight knees to end the game what else can you ask for. I hope the Pats learned to pay attention during field goals and give the ball to Corey on 2nd and 1. The truth is the Pats led wire to wire and even though the Bengals got within 7 they never had the ball in a position to tie the game after midway thru the 2nd quarter.

Coaching is such an integral part of football. I dont think any other sport remotely compares. Having said that, these 3 teams have some of the best in the business.

Willy last score I saw was 35-14 so I know they were playing well. ;)

JMan you're up there with me sir! :suomi: Nothin' wrong with being a Homer of the Year (as opposed to Homo of the year...not that there's anything wrong with that). ;)

I wouldn't put Philly in the same sentence as Buffalo and Minnesota. At least they didn't choke in Conference Title games. If this tream makes it to the Super Bowl they will get clobbered by AFC. Just because their beating up NFC teams doesn't make them one of the great NFC teams, they just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

For the last 4 years?? :icon_conf

Who cares if you don't win it? The only thing you get for making it in and losing is some more money and a worse off draft pick. :103631605

Dynasty is for winners, this team has never won anything.I suppose the Oakland A's were a dynasty too for making the playoffs for 4 straight years. Packers went to 2 straight Super Bowls in 96 and 97 won one, and nobody calls that a dynasty. SuperStar and Dynasty are 2 words that get thrown out way too much for less then stellar accomplishments
