They just bounced a check for a dime this past week. This is not a cock and bull story. First time in years. No explanation from them. They said they will make good if I return the rubber check. Bounce, bounce, bounce.

How can a book bounce a check for $1000? That's scary. And you all tell me Pinnacle is #1

Probably just an administrative snafu, sometimes account numbers change, lots of different angles to offshore banking the players never see. I wouldn't worry about it.

I have heard that the check processor for some offshore books had some problems. Maybe Pinny used them. Might be hearing more stories like this in the near future. Don't worry your money is safer at Pinny than a bank.

I'm sure you guys are right and its not a big deal but the fact someone just said your money is safer at Pinnacle than at a bank may be the stupidest thing I have heard in years!

Yeah it was stupid, next time i'll tell him he has a shot at his money if he gets to the airport before the bookie's flight takes off. :cartman:

All I'm saying is that if your money ain't safe there then it ain't safe anywhere and you might as well quit gambling then.

THIS IS THE SCARIEST THING I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME!

What would cause this except insufficient funds??? Then what would someone do that wrote a check from a US account do if it caused THEIR check to bounce?

Where was the check from---what country?:icon_conf :icon_conf :icon_conf :icon_conf :icon_conf :icon_conf

There is NO EXCUSE for getting a bounced check!

Franks is a veteran poster from our "other sports" forum and handicaps boxing. I believe there was some kind of problem with a check but also believe that Pinnacle has a legitimate reason for issuing a new check. Any number of reasons, wrong account, no signature, wrong amount, no date or post date, etc. If ever there was a tempest in a teapot this is it.

Wil,
As a moderator here at the RX; I think it is your duty to send this thread to Pinnacle so they can respond.
I would think they would want to!
Then the "tempest in teapot" will be ended quickly!

Whoson 1st. Thanks for your concerns regarding my duties. Pinnacle has already been notified about the thread. As soon as I know any thing further I will post. They may also post an explanation.

Thanks for your patience, wil.

Have you gone in person to your bank to inquire? What was the reason given-- was it NSF or something else? Computers, scanners, sorters, people do fail occasionally. How has their CS responded to you?
