Wife just bought Norton Anti Virus for friends computer. It says 2005 for xp home /xppro2000/Pro/Me/98. Will this be applicable to windows 98 second edition or will she need to get another one, Thanks for your help. Buddym

It will work because as you say it states it works for 98.

IMO, Upgrade to XP w/ Sp2 though as soon as you can. Depends on your computer specs though.

SP2 is a complete WASTE of time and a nightmare if he already has Norton.

It's better than what he already has if he has a good system. Guessing he doesn't anyway though since he only uses 98.

There aren't any problems with SP2 really... But Sp1 would be fine too. Can't just leave it as is because of viruses and exploits.

SP2 has been fine for me. Love the pop-up blocker and have had no conflicts. I use Nortin as well.

Every time I try to activate Norton Antivirus, it comes up for a second, and then closes. Can't get it to stay up and run for anything. Any clues guys?
