Lots of ties with Mets GM and Manny from same hood

How can Bosox lose the franchise player??

If Mets get him Boston finishes at best 80-82

Read that this morning.

Mets would have to take a contract that's 80 million for 4 years.

Beers at Shea just went to $22 each. :drink:

Cliff Floyd or Manny Ramirez? I'll take Manny any day of the week; still ain't gonna happen though with Manny's contract. These are the same geniuses that wouldn't sign Vlad Guerrero because they were gunshy over the Mo Vaughn disaster.

Omar Minaya will probably wind up signing some cheaper, over the hill scrub like Moises Alou

Looks like Mets are going to sign Pedro which means thet have no shot financially to sign Manny also. IMO they would be better off with Manny, but ESPN is reporting the Pedro deal is a done thing. Manny will be a Red Sox next year, same cannot be said for Martinez.
