I understand Brick & Mortar Casinos are regulated but how do they make sure Casinos don't cheat?

Cameras and audits mostly. In Nevada almost any camera that is controlled by the casino can be demanded for control by the state's agents. They can review all the videotape as well. If you believe you have been cheated you can call the Gaming Control Board and they will send out agents in an hour or two. You can plead your case and they will do tests to prove you weren't cheated.

On the slots and video poker the chips are easily auditable. There are programs that can have the E-PROM as it is called checked within a minute for irregularity. Of course it begins with checking extensively any new machines or equipment before it is ever approved.

Last of all, the value of the license is immense. Cheating for even a short period of time can never match the long-term value of being allowed to operate a casino or to sell your products to a casino. Casinos and their suppliers make plenty of money without cheating, no need to cheat and risk all that.

Tribes are a tougher nut to crack. They generally are self-regulated with only minimal oversight from the NIGC. The NIGC is just there to make sure they are following the law in terms of what games they can offer. They offer up suggested standards to follow, most of which tribes do follow because in the end it is their money and they don't want it pilfered. Gaming Labs Inc (GLI) is a lab that does lots of gaming equiment testing for some states, but not Nevada and a few others. GLI approval generally means all casinos will accept a product as tested and fair.

I formerly worked the surveillance cameras(CCTV) for a year on a boat, and WB is absolutely correct, plus individual state's have their own state gaming agencies/divisions(just like Nevada), that request tape often, also have their own camera rooms on premises, along with numerous unannounced visits to stand over your shoulder for hours at a time.

Sherman, the simplest way of putting it is to ask this, "why would someone with a license to steal, risk losing that right, for the sake of stealing a lil' bit more?"..then again I'm a honest man, so it comes off as common sense to me, and not a temptation of greed for more, more, more.

Horseshoe, did you ever witness any amusing circumstances? Like, players cheating perhaps? Girls getting drunk and acting foolishly?

You must have some tales to tell!

Baus, Most of what I saw was heartbreaking(degenerates losing what they didn't have to risk in the first place), and it was the darkest and most depressing job I've ever had(and I was an Army 11-B in the NG for 6 yrs!)..

But I did see everything from a guy fingering his girlfriend under a jacket & her mini-skirt while she played slots, to exorcism pukes, to rail-thiefs, to drunks punching security officers, roulettte wheel past-posting/bet-capping, to cardiac arrests, bartender's stealing, croupier scams, hard-count room guys napping, butt-crack shots, nice nip/tit shots, BJ dealer flashing cards, and caught a few different Asian BJ Groups of Griffin high-flyers traveling the country.

Don't regret it, but certainly don't miss it either.

Picture a 110 lb woman heaving and hurling a seemingly 5 gallons of incessant yack.

FISH mentioned he went to one that went in international waters near Tampa. These ones are the ones with no regulation gaming wise that is. I've heard sories of turning jackpots back (carribean stud, progressive slots) and what not.
