BCN Hoops contest is tough !

A lot of tough competition to win a month there. My advice is volume. Pick 3 a day. If you pick one a day , and hit 60% ( 18-12), you won't win the month , not even close !

60 % of 90 picks ( 54-36) , gives you a chance. Stale lines help. I'm happy just to be fairly close to the top of this. I'm glad a lot of these guys aren't in HW contest.

The aggregate record J of H compiles can mislead newbies. Many bets are into lines not available. If a line moves 4 points, I'm likely to bet into the stale contest line, don't over value results of contest picks, they are a bit skewed.

I'm trying to teach any newbie not to take contest lines as real, and avoid taking these bets at worse points. Many bets are not real bets, they are against a line you can't get. You'd lay -130 or worse to get these lines. They were real at 5am, but not 5 pm. Don't bet a popular line that moved 2 points against ya.

Next season, we may have to incorporate a rule using closing lines.

It's an equal advantage to all, change it if you want ! I'm trying to help someone not following into a steamed line, that's all ! Closing lines are tough, contestants won't be able to pick early enough.
