Kevan Barlow was upgraded to probable for week 15. He'll back up Maurice Hicks during todays game.

since it is fantasy wise, I will answer. Niners say they will give Hicks the look, if you have Barlow and options, I'd take the options. Good luck whatever way you go.:suomi:

Kevan Barlow - RB - 49ers

He'll back up Maurice Hicks during tomorrow's game. Neither are great options versus the Redskins. Dec. 17 - 7:35 pm et

San Francisco 49ers: Halfback Kevan Barlow, listed as questionable with a sore knee, practiced Thursday and may be available for backup duty against the Redskins. Maurice Hicks will get the start even though he's on the injury report with a rib injury. Quarterback Tim Rattay is practicing a little bit but will probably be the third quarterback. He's doubtful with a foot injury. Ken Dorsey will start. Right tackle Scott Gragg will play despite being listed as questionable with a sore shoulder

WASHINGTON REDSKINS AT SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Kickoff: 5 p.m., Monster Park, San Francisco, Calif. Weather: Sunny, high: 63, low: 50. Washington will utilize RB Clinton Portis as the centerpiece of their offensive attack, so expect the former Miami Hurricane to post his third consecutive solid stat line. His success will create less pressure in the pocket for QB Patrick Ramsey, who should slice a patchwork defensive backfield with strikes to WR Laveranues Coles. 49ers QB Ken Dorsey will start with Tim Rattay (foot, doubtful) on the sidelines, but he's not a recommended option vs. an underrated Redskins defense. RB Maurice Hicks will start ahead of Kevan Barlow, but he's no better than a flex option vs. LB LaVar Arrington and Washington's third-ranked run defense.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTES: Redskins TE Chris Cooley has eight receptions, 96 yards and one TD in the past two weeks. ... 49ers TE Eric Johnson has four receptions, 28 yards and no TDs in his past two starts.
