Had it been 4th down at the 1, maybe, but 4th and 3 from the 28, yes most coaches would have went for the 3 that they had to have...
it has nothing to do with the coach trying to win, rather than cover the spread, he wasnt gonna win without that fg anyway....
Had the spread been 4.5, and baltimore was down 7 with 3 minutes to go, and they kick a fg, then i would say coach was playing to cover, not win..
But he WAS DOWN 10 POINTS, he had to have a td, and a fg....your chances are much better to make a fg there, then a conversion, not to mention, if u get the points that soon, u can still kick off, and depend our your league leading defense to get the ball back.....
