I'm going to work (gamble) more. I take way too many days off - and the days I work tend to be on the short side. I'd be surprised if I averaged 20 hours work a week over the course of the year. But a big challenge of being self-employed is dealing with self-motivation issues.

I hate to think about how much more money I could have made and how much further along my various research projects would be if I just worked, say, 30% more - and that would still leave loads of time for all the leisure things I love.

I'm not whining - I'm extremely grateful to be in the position I'm in. However, I resolve to have more discipline with regard to work habits.
